The green beans and potatoes recipe brought back memories! My mom used to make it often! I lost her 4 years ago, and miss her so much! Thank you for making this!!

A big pot of green beans, carrots and new potatoes is to me summer at my grandparents house when I was growing up and makes my heart smile and miss those days. My favorite Summertime dinner, with corn on the cob, tomatoes and apple pie slices. ❤️

Really enjoy the simplicity of your meals & they way you don't drag out the meal preparation. Explaining well but not adding so much that drags the video out forever because I don't have all that time to spend watching. I also enjoy making the greenbeans & potatoes every summer with the fresh greenbeans from our garden brings back good childhood memories! Here in Pennsylvania we usually use a ham hock or ham ends, greenbeans, new potatoes & fresh corn, keep the broth & eat almost like a soup. Dip butter bread in broth 😋 I enjoy seeing how others eat the same meal but in different ways!

That summer meal is the best! My Mom used to make us the same thing growing up! 1/2 runners with new potatoes and a sliced tomato! Nothing like it! Brings back memories that make my heart smile! Used to string 1/2 runners with my Memaw on the front porch when I was a kid. ❤️ I sure miss those days!

I usually keep a square of Contact brand Grip Liner in my cupboard next to my cutting boards. Put the square of grip liner under your cutting board and nothing moves. I've used it with both my wood and plastic boards. Also just setting the cutting board on top of your dish towel will hold it still for you too. Thank you so much for your videos, all are really "good " ideas for something new to have for dinners and lunches!

Did the Buff chik quesadillas and street corn for dinner last night & my man & I lovedd it! You're by far my new favorite source of recipes & dinner inspiration ❤❤❤ your dinners are sooo do-able & perfect for both my picky man & my 1 yr old craving variety😍 even though I've been a stay at home mom a whole year now, somehow I still manage to walk into the kitchen and have my mind go blank 😂😂 let alone packing him a lunch for work, if there aren't leftovers in a to go container he's been SOL. Thank you for alllll the ideas! Sausage-stuffing balls tonight!

Always enjoy your what’s for dinner videos. They have brought so much inspiration to my own meals! Another thing you can make with your ‘left over’ roasted red pepper is a pesto with basil, slivered almonds (or pine nuts) a garlic clove, evoo, grated parm and salt and pepper. It’s somewhat thick, but … you can dip your cauliflower bites in then, roast the cauliflower … is so good!

Kristin you blow me away with your meals! Everything looked so so delicious and you always make unique dishes with so much care and love put into them. Your family surely is very lucky to have you! I’ve been wanting to make something with those egg roll wrappers for the longest time, but I’ve always been intimidated to try them for some reason but you made it look so simple so thanks …now I will! Hope you’re having a great day. 😍

Tomato paste, I can't spend the amount on those tubes, crazy prices. I use the little cans and put the remaining in a zip lock bag, flatten it and store it in the freezer. When I need it, I break off the amount I need and throw the rest back in the freezer. Game changer. For a simple variation to your coleslaw, throw in some sunflower seeds, they add just a little something something and it's really good. Enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the dinner ideas, I’ve been in kind of a rut and needed an infusion of new recipes badly! The hardest part will be deciding which to make first! Kinda leaning towards the pork chops, but the egg rolls…tough choices. Hoping you and your family were spared the terrible flooding. I grew up in Ohio and the news showed people trying to put their homes back together after the floods, even as a kid I found it heartbreaking.

Hand shredding cabbage, rather than bagged is also better because the cabbage is not dry and you use less dressing.

Little kitchen tip that I found helpful when it comes to cutting cabbage: Peel outer leaves like normal, face stem up, cut around the parameter of the stem. Doing this allows you to cut around the entire core and no extra cuts 🙂

Hey! We grew our own green beans a couple of years ago, not the same kind that you had, but I froze several packages of them! my family likes them with anything that will flavor them! mostly pork products, and I have put them with a pork tenderloin, and pork roast. I am not a huge fan of just using bacon to flavor because I think that the bacon just gets, in my opinion, gross! love love love fresh green beans and new potatoes all day long! thanks for sharing! xoxo
