Insightful discussion, it could really become a real shitshow there. I think something I hope you could've (should've perhaps?) touched on is the scenario of infighting between the different rebel factions that participated in the offensive cause I doubt they will just let HTS take all the credit and especially complete control of the potential government.

"Government 'service'"? Seriously? "Thanks for your 'service'"? People who work in government are no longer "public servants". They are employees, getting very well paid, with endless benefits that are the envy of the world. Don't make me laugh! These people are no better and no worse than people working for pay in the private sector. That's not "service". Now, serving in combat? That's service.
