Watching your loved one basically say goodbye in long format is beyond painful. We started watching you as Vet Ranch way back in the day. My husband watched your Demolition Ranch videos and I was so excited to see the abandoned mansion videos because I'm into Urbex channels. And once you finished the mansion, and you got the resort and started renovating and spelunking, I swore I'd make time to offer my time to come help clean and organize because I'm weird and enjoy that stuff (I grew up doing concrete with my dad, so I know how to get dirty). I will surely miss the videos, Matt. I hope you stop by and say hi every once in awhile. Maybe like the yearly Billie Eilish check-in?

Hardly ever comment but, It shows how clever you are to realise when you've bitten off more than you can chew and get out..... rather than keep sinking. Many people try to hold onto the thing that they have built and sink with it. Good on you to choose life and kids. I concur. Like you don't just quit everything and drop it. I hope everyone in his family is healthy and that he's healthy too. I still remember the first video he made about the Ranch. He was talking about how every man at a certain point in his life has to make a decision to impact everyone around him and do big things. This is so out of character from the first video. It's not even funny Like I get wanting to spend time with the family and what not, but the kids are still going to be in school and won't be around 100% of the time. They're still going to grow up regardless.... What do you do during the times they aren't around and when they leave the house? There's something more to this that he's not divulging, which is fine. But the community isn't stupid either. We know something's up

Anyone else feel like there’s a hidden agenda behind the YT retirement from Matt? I’m not saying anything negative, but there’s definitely more than just “surpassing all goals”. Financial stress? Channel buyout? Personal issues? Just needs time to regroup for new content? A lot of YTer’s do this, but don’t say they’re quitting indefinitely. Especially when in the video of him saying his quitting youtube, he clearly said he may even go back to doin Vet, So by that clearly shows spending time with his fam wasn't the main reason, as going back to full time Vet will make you spend more time away from your family then putting out 1 video a week. Something definitely must have happened and we will never know!

Sadly I believe it has something to do with the bad publicity they have been getting related to the Trump Assassin attempt. The shooter had demo ranch merch with him, and Matt is just sick knowing he someway gave this person a platform to learn via his videos. Just my deep speculation.... its a long shot but that 100% affected him greatly. Wish him the best though in whatever he chooses to do.

The reason I'm thinking it now is because the ONLY reason to completely quit youtube would be a divorce because it is technically a buisiness and she gets half. If he deleted it, it's the same as closing a buisiness, then he could start another after the divorce and he would 100% own it.
