I was surprised to hear that I’m already doing several trends regularly! Tbh I’m 54 & have splotchy skin, a natural complexion with just enough makeup to tone down the splotches tends to be more flattering than perfected tone on heavily made up skin imo. And I’ve been ordering Asian beauty lippies for awhile, the blotted effect is also very flattering on older skin - shine tends to exaggerate texture & inconsistent tone, at least on pale skin, so a soft matte or natural finish almost always looks best on me. Usually that’s just a stain & and spf tinted balm tho, very easy look.

Love your videos. Here’s my opinion for what it’s worth. 🙄😂 The minimalist eye trend only works if you’re closer to puberty than you are to menopause lol The eyes on most older women need the contouring effect that eyeshadow provides. The light shadow just emphasizes looser, drooping skin and makes most older women washed out and tired looking. I loved doing this look when I was younger, but now? Forget it. I think many older women could benefit from the flushed look and the undefined lip; after menopause you need that help with color (especially during the colder months) and sometimes sharply defined lips emphasize thinning or drooping lips. The bare face look could go either way on an older face. When we get older we lose that softness and color that we associate with youth and makeup (in the right amount) is a great way to try to add it back.

Thank you! I just switched to a darker shadow after years of light only because the light was emphasizing my creases and dark circles underneath. It's been a positive change, and I'm secure enough to not care about TikTok trends at this point.

For oily skin gals who like the bare face trend but feel too shiny, I wholeheartedly recommend the Wet & Wild tinted moisturizer. It's hydrating, but sets to a natural matte finish that lasted for hours on my very oily, mature complexion without settling into lines or creases. I even used it under my eyes in lieu of concealer (I don't have much darkness there). And it's super affordable! On days when I need a bit more overall coverage, I use it almost as a primer and just top with a light application of powder foundation.

I love the bold lip with minimal eye makeup, will have to do it more often! For daytime I just don't do full color, just tap the lipstick and smear with my fingertips. It also lasts quite well this way.

I love the more natural trend and have purchased the Merit foundation stick and love it. It can also be used as your concealer. I either use my bronzer on my eyes or just eyeliner and mascara. Apply bronzer and blush and I’m good to go!
