Welcome to my "What's In the Bag" video! I'm very excited to release it as I know it is a video a lot of you have been requesting for a very long time! In this video I will give a comprehensive, in-depth analysis of what I use on the golf course, what I use in long drive, as well as any other accessories that I consider essential to my functioning as a professional long driver and a scratch golfer.
This is my first time experimenting with things like background music, video overlays, as well as a more personal, real time narration of my video instead of putting commentary on it after the fact so let me know if you guys enjoyed those additions! I also overlaid some clips of me hitting all the different clubs I go over throughout this video so I hope you enjoy that also! I did my best to give a totally thorough analysis of all my clubs and accessories while also keeping the pace of the video somewhat quick to maintain a high entertainment value. I hope you guys enjoy the video!

@@kyleberkshire3371 For the logo I think you could go with something like Phil Mickelson's. I love the clean look of the white silhouette on a black background of him jumping in the air after winning the Masters. For me, the look of you that is synonymous with "Sound Up" is right at the end of your swing with the 2-iron. As an example, if you look at 12:12 of your video Ep:08 Part 1 - Bull Run Golf Club Front 9. Anyways, keep up the great work. Love the videos.

When you were talking about how in a tournament you would use your driving irons much more, I would like to see a video where you purely go for a low score and play as if you were in a tourney. I think that would make a cool video.

Dude your golf I.Q is next level. It would be great to see a video that shows what workouts you do to help you develop the long drive power. Also if you could do a step by step break down of your long drive swing and what you are thinking about vs your body is doing at that time.

Two things- I play a 48in reg flex Driver with a short backswing. Over 60 now and have some "broken parts". The reg flex 48 gives me distance and the short swing accuracy. I also carry a yoga mat. If you aren't stretching before you play, and like me, when making the turn at 9, you are going to risk injury. Big dogs have bad hips and backs more than little dogs :)

New Sub. I competed in the Remax Senior div. In Canada for 4 years in the mid 2000's (qualifiers only - missed out going to the Worlds in Mesquite by ONE YARD I was 341 buddy was 342) now that I'm 60 I've lost a ton of distance but still get past 95% of the folks I play with. I've gone down the rabbit hole with your vids. Well done. I really like the fact that you're not the Hulk, like some of the animals you compete with (Steenberg...jesus). More like Sadlowski. Interesting about the 48" regular shaft...we were all hitting 3x Harrison or Accuflex back in the day. Ultimately I want you to defend for many years because you seem like a great lad - if you ever get to Ottawa Canada (if they ever open the border) I'd be honored to host you for a round. Sound Up!

Kyle dude! For your trigger point therapy try a 'peanut' (2 lacrosse balls joined together) as well as your foam roller. It reaches all the scapula musculature that's hard to get with a roller. Also check out the 'bodyback buddy'. I had bad snowboarding accidents and foam roller doesn't cut it for me but the tools i mentioned above are sick. Try em out. It might really help your recovery if that stuff is a big deal for you.

Kyle, can you do a video about how you swing? For example, do you power your swing with your body or your hands/arms, do you initiate your downswing with the your body or your hands/arms, do you actively use your legs or are they just reacting, etc? This type of video would be super useful, especially with the speed you swing at and the accuracy you get, because I'm very interested in some of the more technical aspects of the swing, as would a lot of people.

For your wedges, please keep in mind that I don't carry the ball 350 or 400, so what I offer might not be right for your game. For me, I prefer a 62 to a 64, as the 62 will cover a few more shots that might be a little further from the green, than the 64. If you were going 62, then maybe 57 or 58 as a good sand wedge, and then you accurately noted that you should work with the course and conditions for the rest of it, although something in the 46-48 range would be a given. If you ever desire to play on the PGA Tour, (which I think you could be highly successful, particularly as you keep it in play pretty well given your huge distance) then spend 60 to 90 minutes a day chipping around the green starting with a 5 iron (for 80 to 100 ft), then maybe from 7 to your highest loft. Give yourself a lot of nearly impossible shots, and you will get a great touch. Do that 3 or 4 times a week, with an hour putting, for a few months, and you will be there. On the other hand...what you are doing now is pretty amazing. Stay healthy and be well

Gotta try that Regular flex for long drive thing soon. Because I can see why that made sense since I used to switch between my dad's driver SR flex my old driver with R flex and long drive club with XX flex and I was all over the place with that thing struggled with both distance and accuracy since I'm not loading the shaft strong enough to make the shaft work, being 40 mph slower than Kyle didn't helped either. But when I switched back to whippy old shafts I crushed them over and over but my spin are too high so perhaps a long drive head with Regular shaft might do the trick for me.

@@kyleberkshire3371 According to MYGOLFSPY's last ball test, the Callaway balls didn't fair too well, you might be better off going to another ball, unless of course Callaway has that in your contract, in which too bad. Then again at the speed you swing it might not make a difference, but it's not only about the distance the ball goes but how far offline and the around green performance, but I'm guessing you know that.

I'm having a hard time finding anywhere that even carries the shaft but wondered if you had a chance to find them and test them out. Also, what made you decide to go with the Apex's over the Apex pro? your distance gapping I would assume is more difficult in the lower end of the bag from your 9i into your wedges? I'm trying to figure all this out lately and it's hard when I'm my average driver club head speed is 126 mph. Thanks for the help!

Do you play your irons over standard length since you are 6’3”? If so is that why the heavier tour wrap grips and extra wraps of tape in the top part of the butt section to counterbalance and lower swing weight? I ask because I’m also tall and have been fit into x7 shafts because of my speed but don’t really feel comfortable playing clubs less than 3/4” over standard. The tricky part is being able to playing something stiff enough without swing weight getting too crazy. Thanks

Hi Kyle, After watching you a few times during the long drive tourneys I had the impression that maybe you were a little cocky, ha-ha. BUT, after spending a few hours last night watching a number of your 9 hole videos I did a 180. You seem like a real genuine hard working honest guy just trying to get better at the game we all love and not in the least cocky, very nice to see. Of course being Canadian(Albertan) you probably know I cheered for Jamie and Jason, sorry, ha-ha, but I liked watching you swing and congrats on your first win, keep going. Now to my question, when you're on the course what % of max do you swing your driver and 2 iron? And do you think you have a swing that won't damage your back in the future? Thanks.
