I wanted to put orchids on the wall in my conservatory. So I bought Natural 3D Cork wall tiles. I covered the brick wall with the tiles in my conservatory. It was pricey but the wall now looks like a huge tree trunk, resembling bark with orchids on it. The conservatory no longer sounds hollow, keeps the heat in, in the winter. I don't have to buy wall plaques anymore. It's the closest I can get to relaxing with all of my plants, all year round, in cold, wet Britain. Love your channel Nelson, just great 👍 🇬🇧

Hi. Nelson. I also fell in love with the dendrobium formosum. Reached out to grower but they only had it with a light yellow lip 😢😢😢😢 so I didn’t get it. It was not as stunning. Btw are u planning another visit to Mercedes house ???? I would love to know her winter regimen. (Would like to know yours too)I have been following her regimen and I am getting a lot more blooms. Hello. I literally just filmed a visit at Mercedes. Her regimen is the same through the year. She said here in Miami our seasons are not that far from each other. So she didn’t change her feedings. I’m so happy to hear you’re getting more blooms. 💚

Everything looks amazing. Please let Maria know we loved her collection and were blown away at her growing things out on full sun. Also, thank you for talking about the materials you have installed for the roof. Perhaps one day you could make a video geared towards explaining how you've set up your sprinkler system in the orchidarium, how you fertilize things.. manually or using the system, etc...

Thank you. I will definitely tell Maria. She has been reading the comments. She just doesn’t really navigate the technology very well. But she is aware of all the comments directed at her. As far as feeding goes, I do have several videos that explain my feeding regimen. Perhaps I’ll do another video on just feeding. 👍🏼

Now you have even better blooms. Love that Green Goblin. Your paph leaves are looking very healthy too, that corner looked really lush and green. $25 to flowering sized tenebrosa in a year is also extremely impressie, you need to get more from them. It's impossible to tell how fast an orchid will grow - depends on the health of the orchid so when an orchid gows as well as you showed that is a really well cared for division. Not what we get here where it languishes for 4 years first before then deciding to wake from its long slumber or do downhill after having cared for it that long lol/

I don’t think she mixes it with water. I think she uses straight alcohol with liquid soap. I would personally mix 1:1 ratio of water and alcohol.

In Miami it’s usually 80’s plus. When we get cold snaps it’s usually in the 50’s. Every once in a blue moon we’ll get 40 and below for a day.

Thanks. The coldest night where I am duriing a freezing snap is 65 so i guess I am still in the warm zone. I am going to try a few warm growing cymbidiums as the old standards will not bloom here because we do not get cool enough. thank you so sincerely for all the helpful advice, based on your direct experience and from growers around you. Thanks for the info. I do like the lady who attended us. This is the second time we visit her booth and we always take something. I have my eye on them. I’ve noticed they carry very unique and exotic picks. Definitely one of my faves right now. I’ll look into. Paying them a visit. I’ll have to see how far and how I make time.
