I agree on spending a grand for the the Sennheiser shotgun mic. Great tips on how to prevent clothing rustle- I would not have realized this.

I'm deaf, but this was great advice, especially on the Sennheiser, which I've heard great things about. Absolutely true on having good sound which will make or break a film and I learned this the hard way years ago.

Interesting device to put at the end of your "boom pole"! I'm sure the wife loves it! Really nice work Mike! I like the time sync option with that clapboard. it's awesome! I agree with the good audio! SOO MANY movies these days are junk just because of the mixing of the audio they have used. You do great work with audio. Keep it up!

This is so epic. I really love the insight on audio and it totally fits in with all your content here. A thousand on a Sanheizer is actually understandable. I have often used Sanheizer vocal mic in my performances and it never fails. At 6:27 pregnant?!! lol, not sure what thats about but its its a boy you can called him Mic. The wirelesss explanation is awesome, I really love this my friend. Keep em coming fellas.

Thx for the inside! Big time question: How to transport the blimp and other bigger gear items 😅 All the run 'n' gun/shoot situations are really taxing when there is noone besides you to carry anything. Especially when you have to carrey the camera too. Like shooting a location to promote the place as an 1 man armee. Really annoying. At the end of the day you fall flat on the floor.

This is great as I'm always interested in how you guys get such GREAT audio. I seen the bloopers to this video and now I get the chance to hear Michael in a serious tone (hahaha). He does have quite a personality so your video jumped up a few notches!. Some of this makes sense to me but I'm not close to the level you guys are at. Watching this, I realize recording sound digitally on a device separately gives you MANY useful options. Love the timestamp or time code vs naging the sticks is exact; great GREAT tool! I can't believe a shotgun mic for $1k.... nice!!! Wow, an extra 100 yards is (wireless setup) is a big difference. He's right, reliability is worth every penny. I could imagine the pain of recording a shot and then not having the audio. The pregnant jokes... hahaha! Those damn directors haha, get em Mickael!! I loved learning a little about the tips and tricks here. Excited for the next one, Wes 🍻💥👊

I dig the lighting in this one Home Slice! I would love to have that gear. I'm using a RodeLink TX which works pretty good, but I had to buy a $100 lav mic to replace the one it came with. It's a bit too sensitive to ambient sound, but does the job. I'd love to get the super high end gear, but priorities lol, got to get some camera shite. This is great Bro!! I need to eliminate clothing rustle man big time, I hate that! Nice shirt too!🎬🎥😁🙌🔥

It was a Porta Brace, but they don't make that model anymore. He uses an Orca now. I think the OR-32 - similar to this (amzn.to/3pOs4tV) but bigger.

How to connect it with boom mic and how the boom mic works while filming?
@ThinkingArtEntertainment
@ThinkingArtEntertainment 4 жыл бұрын
You connect the microphone to the recorder using an XLR cable, and then you get the shotgun as close to the source speaking as possible sitting just outside of frame for the best sound.
