I watch your vlogs random :0 so I see this video just now. No idea if you will even read this... I have major social anxiety as well. I would recommend taking a dog. I do not now if you like dogs, but when I was younger I had one from when I was 5 till around 22 years old. And she helped me big time going outside alone. Because you are not really alone then and also have that familiar face ;) with you. Even petting and interacting helps a lot. And I even felt kind of protected. Having a dog also forces you to go out a few times a day, which is super good for people who tend to stay home for days. The change of rhythm will make you feel more balanced and healthy in a way :) When my doggie was 16 years old she died. And the difference of not having a dog became clearly noticeable. Ever since I have way more anxiety for going outside and overall feeling less relaxed, more emotional and anxious. Having a new dog was not possible till now. I hope in a few months or a year. But yeah..hope this tip will help :) Hope you read it as well. Maybe I'll try to send you this another way, somehow. Just know you are not alone in this. And I think you are doing great

I love your sassy crayon...I do the same thing! I'm 43 and I have a teeesy glow-worm that I keep in my bag for the same reason. I had a full sized glow-worm when I was little and it was my fave! My MIL saw a keychain version of it and she gifted it to me. I cherish it.

I'm proud of you for opening up, facing your fears, and challenging your self~! It's moments like these that we grow the most. I can relate with you so well about social anxiety; both parts such as afraid of leaving my apartment and afraid of approaching people. (Being a foreigner in Japan has amplified that feeling) The best way to conquer our anxiety is by understanding it and thoughtfully exposing ourselves to our fears. We can do it! this year grew my social anxiety and fear of going outside back... i was so good at being out and talking to people and stuff, and since being locked down for 6 months, i just can't do it anymore. it's so stressful. so i feel you! glad you were able to go outside! i went for a walk by myself a week ago for the first time since lockdown. it felt really good but it's going to take some time to get used to it again :-) thanks for another great video!

i rly hear what you're saying about social anxiety increasing during the pandemic! i feel like so much of my social skills have gone down since being so isolated this year! but i feel like hopefully when the pandemic passes and things slowly get back to normal interactions will feel more organic. growth isn't linear and as someone who also has anxiety i think we just have to give ourselves credit for showing up + doing our best

Here in Ohio the park has a scary tunnel from the parking lot to the park and lake. I look around and run through! Sketching outside in the fresh air is relaxing. Stay well and safe. Today is June 29, 2021 here in Ohio with vaccinations we no longer have to wear mask.

I completely relate about the social anxiety! Before the pandemic I was doing really well with my anxiety. I was taking multiple classes on campus and for the first time was actual getting comfortable being out by myself. Now it's been about a year since I've taken a class up at school and it's really hard. Sometimes I'll go outside to get the mail and suddenly realize that I haven't left the house in days. Thanks for talking about this, sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who struggles with stuff like this

I relate to the anxiety of going outside so much. Every time I’m outside for something it just feels like I’m doing something wrong, even if it’s groceries or shipping. I want to get out of this mindset and relax a little bit but things around covid have been extra stressful lately :’) The Netherlands is really going backwards and we’re sadly going into full lock down as of tonight. I hope this all is over soon! I want to feel comfortable outside again

I absolutely feel your pain with the social anxiety and how it got much harder when the pandemic hit. It became so hard to even know what to say to other people and I would just hide behind my husband because of it. There really wasn't anything to be afraid of but in my head, it was so much bigger than it was. It's gotten better again though because I've been forcing myself outside of the house (with safety precautions in mind lol). I'm glad that you were able to push yourself outside of your box and looking forward to hearing more about your growth as well!

I'm so happy to find i'm not the only one. I also used to carry a small plushie with me all the time. The last one was a mike bananya but i kept it in a small plastic because i didn't want it to get dirty. When i feel bad i would take out my bananya and squish it lol
