Such a pretty bag... I usually gravitate towards large bags, but definitely prefer this size to the larger Deauville tote... I NEED that crock pot 👌🏾 I have a Canvas Hermes Garden party... The leather bottom helps it feel more structured and the canvas appears quite durable... 😉

Mrs K Coy yes! You need the mini crock pot for lunches 😉 the Garden Party is beautiful too! One I’ve contemplated for a couple years. But I like having a shoulder strap when I’m busy commuting to free up my hands. And I’m sooo happy with this purchase! 💕

A bit off topic but thank you for letting us know about the food warmer, I did not know there was such a compact thing. I am going to get an equivalent model (I live in the UK) to use in hotel rooms for when I resume my travelling. At work I use the microwave, no problem. But when I travel for work or pleasure, it would enable me to warm food from the supermarket and control my portion sizes instead of spending a lot of time and overeating in a restaurant.

I’ve recently purchased a preloved leather Deauville tote from a couple of years ago. My tote has the pocket on the back, which I appreciate. It’s black which makes it super versatile and since the Chanel logo is tonal black it’s discreet.🖤it

Hi 👋🏻 , I am happy that you have done this review because I would like to have your feeling about the fabric on this collection : is it a soft cotony fabric or is it the sturdier fabric with kind of plastic threads in it ? I love the Deauville tote from Chanel ( part because of its name 😉) , I have never pull the trigger because of the price point for a fabric bag but after watching your video I feel weaker than ever 😂 ! My boyfriend has bought for the two of us a Goyard tote (I think he was afraid of having to carry on a « feminine » bag 😬) which is not the classic Saint Louis one in order to put our stuff in when traveling. It is more structured and zipped so it might be a good option for you ... I need to ask him his receipt to give you the name. I think he has made a really good choice as it is a very practical bag (as per usual for mens 😅) that ticks all the boxes ... but now how I would justify to buy a Deauville tote 😋 ? 💕

I'm glad you found it helpful 💕I would describe the fabric on this particular version I have as more of that sturdier canvas fabric with "plastic" threads in it. I've seen / felt more felted wool-style canvas Deauvilles which are much softer than what I have. It does not feel like a coated canvas from LV or Goyard St Louis tote. But if you remember the brightly-colored rattan Deauvilles that came out a couple seasons ago, this version is softer than that. 👀I am curious to hear what style Goyard bag you have for travel! And perhaps we will influence each other to make a new purchase once this crisis is over 😍

Got the same bag in 1 and half month ago, the edge colour is coming off and the colour on the top handle too, took the bag back to the shop, they said it is tear and wear, but I always take care of my bag, if after 1 year, I can see tear and wear, but in less than 2 months? I paid over $4500, never buy Chanel bag again. Just wondering if just mine has these issues? How’s your one holding off ?

Yvonne He oh no! That sounds terrible. I used my bag as my work bag the beginning of the year before covid. I’m like you and I take care of my bags. No major signs of any wear and tear for me. Regardless, any issue showing up within 2 months is not considered wear and tear for me (unless it was an accident like spilling something on the bag). That’s disappointing that Chanel said it was normal wear and tear!

myclosettravels thanks for your quick reply. I guess mine is factory defect then, but they wouldn’t admit it. The way they deal with such issues really turned me off. I love it as a everyday day bag, based on this experience, I will never buy Chanel bags anymore, and won’t recommend any of my friends buying.
