Hi Dean, I usually don't watch too many gear loadout videos but I will be hitting the road for a couple of months soon so I take interest in other riders setups (mostly curious if I forgot anything). Before departing I usually worry that much about the gear, looking for the perfect setup, but on the other side I know you can always get along and improvise if need be. Anyways, I edit my videos on an Ipad Mini and will bring it on a trip for the first time. No idea whether I will find time to edit at all though, but maybe it will make for a few restdays in nice places instead of moving restlessly as usual. Have a nice trip. Cheers.

Hi Dennis. Thanks for watching! Yes editing while on tour can help to slow you down for sure. I use a laptop and find I just stress out to much about damaging it and do enjoy the process of doing it at home where I can really take my time. All the best on your tour. Cheers

Hey Dean - I see you mentioned your camara heating up. We had the same problem on the gopro 8. It became such a problem that it was becoming very glitchy and difficult to power on. Very frustrating and still under warranty so gopro replaced it but unfortunately the over heating continued destroying every battery we had. I had all the settings dialed back at a minimum and still it overheated. Tired of missing shots, we purchased a DJI action 3 and it works great. Happy travels on your next tour.

Hey sorry for the late response. I actually haven't had any issues since that day, it was close to 38c that day and no breeze. I've been using gopro since the hero 7 and im pretty satisfied with the product. I will however probably try other cameras in the future. Thanks for the heads up, I do appreciate it! Cheers

@@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures I'm glad you haven't had any more problems. We never had any problems with the GoPro 5 just the 8 and basically from day one. Cheers

Good vid. The new MIC is a major improvement. Interesting if you get a clip fully loaded up on a highway truck scale. They round to closest 10 kilo here in BC.

Yes that would be cool. Ya I really like the new mic but it's been raining the last few days so I haven't been able to use it. Cheers 🍻

I used to load up front and back panniers. I have it down to 2 rear panniers and my tent trapped on top of rear rack. After each tour if I never used it I eliminated it on the next tour. Cut down on the amount of food and clothes I carried. Generally my tours last for 3 weeks. I have even mailed stuff home to get the weight down while on the road. My most recent tour in NL. 16 days total weight of gear 30lbs. I tent it and cook most meals. Wild camp 2/3s the time to cut down on the cost. And it’s kind of fun looking for a place to pitch the tent. I pitched my tent one night in a baseball dugout when it was pouring rain and very windy.

Hi Dean, I'm not sure if you mentioned it or not but when you're out on a normal touring trip, like a week long, what's the approximate total combined weight of the bike with all your gear? Also does it significantly change the difficulty of riding? Just asking as a newbie who's never done it before. Thanks!

Hello! No I didn't mention it and I haven't weighed my gear in some time. But I would estimate around 110 pounds. Keep in mind I have alot of filming gear which most wouldn't have. Thanks for watching! Cheers
