You should talk about why you chose a birth center and your experience with it. 💕 Hope all goes well!

Thank you so much! If I decided to share our birth story in a video that would be a good video for me to chat more about why we decided on a birth center and our experience! Stay tuned ha! xx

I found it helpful to bring a folder for paperwork and a method for tracking feeding and diaper changes (notebook or phone app). I would also recommend bringing your preferred OTC pain reliever, nipple cream and a pacifier. It’s nice not to have to call to ask for those things if you need them in the middle of the night. Even if a pacifier isn’t your preferred choice until beast feeding is established, one of babies really needed it.

I would recommend some cotton burp cloths. I was surprised how much my son spit up in the first couple of days. It is from the amniotic fluid coming out of their lungs.

Thank you for sharing. I am currently 28 weeks with my first and have been vlogging, sharing my struggles mostly with ongoing nausea. I haven't packed anything yet, so this is very helpful and relevant! I bought a robe with a zipper at the front because I figured easy access would be appreciated :D I've subscribed!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!! You're more than halfway there! I hope your nausea lessens soon! Thank you so much for subscribing too!

I am currently two weeks behind you right now with my second. It's so exciting! Most of what I have is similar to your items...I did include some receiving blankets this time around because we had no control over the temperature in our room the first time...so I want to be sure I can keep him nice and toasty (plus hospital stuff seems stratchy to me). I think other people have mentioned it but I would agree that some of the boobie balm or whatever soothing stuff you plan on using would be a must to take along. I was genuinely surprised at how quickly I got sore and chapped those first few feedings. I also had pumped a tiny bit of colostrum in the days before birth with my first and took it along in a bottle just in case we had any early latching issues. We did end up using it but went on to have 2+ years of successful breastfeeding so it all worked out.

So random, but some cough drops and lip balm. With my first it was a LONG labor and lots of pushing, my lips were so chapped and throat so sore by the end. Loved the bag

I’m really hoping, for your sake, that your baby won’t have any tummy troubles with the foods you eat. My first three babies did and it was so hard! Anything gassy like beans, cabbage, broccoli, were terrible. Same with onions and garlic and anything acidic. So tomatoes, a lot of fruit, etc. I ate the most boring bland diet for several months. Thankfully, my last baby had no troubles at all.

This just came to mind when you shared the jar of soup.

If you plan to breastfeed, take lanolin or a similar cream because it will hurt the first week or so

Pack some baby nail care items, like a good file. You'll be surprised just how sharp and long those little nails are. Mitts are great too so they don't scratch their face.

I added a baby nail clipper and file and some no scratch mittens after I filmed this ha! So smart in case her little nails are long or sharp! xx

I'd love to see like a "Food Diary" of what you eat during pregnancy ♥

Do you follow me in Instagram? @HealthyGroceryGirl I share what I eat often in my IG stories. All recipes I post on the blog and YT channel are what I eat in a day. I don't eat that much different from what I ate before being pregnant since the majority of foods on the "do not eat list" I was already not eating. I just eat more right now :)
