If you’re on a budget the iPad 7gen is amazing. It uses Apple Pencil 1gen and some of the only differences that it has to the pro is that it uses Touch ID and it doesn’t have the cool camera (but I don’t really mind that)

Michelle Garcia I use it to join zoom meetings when I want to stay in bed and not turn on my computer. I started having introductory meetings for university and I’ve been using it for a good 6 hours now and my battery is at 63%. I also have pro rate and have been playing with that and it works very well, t(e only downside is that the Apple Pencil charges in a weird way, but it’s not too much of a bother if you buy a case with a place for the pencil or get a pencil cover that keeps all the parts together.

the only "controversial" thing you've done: using 0.38 pens lol also loved how you were honest about not buying new supplies for a new school year unless you needed it bc i keep seeing youtubers who keep rebuying the same things when things like pens and such last a pretty long time

I’m not in school anymore but growing up my parents couldn’t afford to get my siblings and I brand new stationery every year, I didn’t like that especially when everyone else in my class had brand new stuff (kids ey!) but that said my parents ensured we all had everything and we reused stationery and I never went without anything.Thinking back now like it makes so much sense! Why keep buying new things just because it’s new. I think there’s a trend here in September (British), brand new school year means brand new everything. I hope that changes. Loads of things last way longer than just an academic year.

totally agree ive had the same gear for so so long. I think its all about valuing money and taking care of what you have. Ive had the same school bag for 6 WHOLE years and i really wanted a new one this year but I'm not allowed to get one because my one isnt broken or anything. It is annoying however seeing people with new stuff every year. But as you said i haven't laked and I'm doing absolutely fine in school (was top of my year 2 years a go and hopefully will try and get up there again this year)

My high school teachers. Many asked students at the end of the year instead of throwing away their supply and binders and such, to give it to them and the start of every year teachers offer these supplies for those who couldn’t afford them. And even made time after class to those who were at about it to stay after. And it was super considerate and caring of those teachers

The only thing I bought for this year (excluding a potential investment in a new laptop) was a new pack of muji notebooks because I’m starting at university and didn’t have any left over from my a-levels. I love how you made a note of reusing supplies and not going for brand new all the time!

You should consider using notability (or another app you want) as your notebook for all your classes!! It is so practical especially once virtuality ends because you won’t have to carry a bunch of notebooks and textbooks with you since they are all in the iPad. And the less paper you use, the better for the planet so that’s totally a plus! Just make sure to carry your charger with you:)
