Awesome video.... the topic of the ID and health insurance card was awesome and an excellent idea that I will be utilizing from now on. Thank you

As a paramedic, I whole heartedly appreciate the idea of having your “pocket of doom”. I literally just went out and put an ID card with medical info along with my fishing license in that pocket. I’m honestly thinking about getting a patch or something to put on that pocket to signify “hey. Look here for info”.

2 questions What phone case is that? I like that idea of have it in my chinook pocket. What are the lines your snips and surgical pliers are connected to?

Thanks Chris your video has been super helpful, was wondering though on how you attached the lanyard to your cellphone?
@YakFishChris5 жыл бұрын
The lifeproof case I use has a small slot for the attachment. Then I attach the other end to the vest.

I wonder how this life jacket will fit me. My chest is about half of yours lol. All jokes aside I am actually probably going to REI to scoop one today. Do you think this vest would be comfortable with a Hobie Outback seat?

Not too sure but it’s not bad with my nucanoe pinnacle seat, the hobie PA14 dear and the old town predator seats!

You are the first commentator who stated that it is difficult to insert the NRS knife into the attachment. I just received an NRS Chinook OS. I’m sending back because 1) my iPhone 6 only fits into two pockets, one being a very tight fit. I use an Otter case for my phones. 2) the 3 pockets, as stated in the prior comment, are extremely small. I don’t see being able to carry much. 3) I cannot insert my NRS pilot knife into the attachment. You alluded to this in this post. I find the slit width equals the clip’s width. That’s jus poor design! Just my two cent. I’m sending the PDF back
@YakFishChris4 жыл бұрын
I am not associated with NRS at all. Sorry to hear about those issues. I’d look at rogue fishing and get a protector tether for an added layer of protection for your phone. As for the lash and your knife, I believe NRS has a video of how to do it on their website. I used a butter knife to help guide it through the lash.

YakFish Chris I must apologize for unloading. It was undignified of me. You did give a real and honest commentary of what works for you in your pdf, which gave me insight of what I should look for in my pdf. Again, I apologize!

I appreciate the enthusiasm and passion, but you need a new camera person--not sure why they are constantly trying to get you into focus when your distance from the camera is fixed.

Why would you carry your knife pointed at your face. I know the tip is blunt, it for me that is purely unsafe.
@YakFishChris4 жыл бұрын
That’s actually the proper way. When you are in a situation where you need to deploy the knife, it is already properly in your hand vs having to flip it. Seconds matter in life or death situations. Trust me, I’ve needed this knife on more than one occasion to cut away anchor lines quickly, and fumbling with it would have cost me a lot of gear or my safety.

heazy87 plenty of ways that can and have happened to kayak anglers. Unless of course you’re one of the pond fisherman. Put down the Call of Duty sticks and get out there and you’ll see it for yourself. Your 6 subscribers can wait until you get back...
