I have no idea what youre talking about. My packs are only around 65 lbs of drone gear.

Great video! As for the drone talk, for shooting paid client work in the US, you technically do need an FAA part 107 permit to do things fully legally, even for drones under 250 grams (though for personal drone footage you don’t). You could take the risk and just shoot drone footage anyway, and you probably won’t get caught, but if you ever crashed your drone into anything or anyone, your insurance company may not pay out since laws were technically not being followed. I recently discovered this and I no longer offer drone coverage for my video work for that reason. I hate to be a wet blanket, but details like this are important.

Just a heads up for drone users in the States, if you intend to film or produce any content with a drone, you need to get the commercial license and register the drone regardles of the weight if you want to operate...legally lol. Again the airspace rules vary depending on the country.

I used to be a just in case packer, now I'm planning to pick up the sigma 24-70 2.8. Most of my work/hobby needs can be covered with that single lens, so it's a no brainer. Less to carry around means more fun! - a7r3 - 24-70 2.8 (instead of my current setup with primes) - PD power bank, type c cable

I'm definitely the type to pack too much "Just in case." One trick that I've found to get around this is to get a slightly smaller bag, try to pack as much as I can into it, make compromises with myself for the stuff that won't fit that I might not need, and then after I ditch the "ehh maybe I wont use that" stuff, pack it all into a slightly larger bag. Weird process but it works for me. I loved that ExpoDisc you talked about. I've never heard of those but now I'm interested to get one of those for myself. Looks like a really neat and useful tool! I would also love to see more side by side comparisons of the Black Satin 3 with the Black Pro Mist 1/8. I've been wanting to pick up a filter like those myself lately and would love to see a bit more of how they look before I commit to one or the other.

I really love how all tech came to 19 bit (mot all 4:2:2, but 10 bit is a long way from 8 bit)
@todddammit46282 жыл бұрын
I was about to correct you on the Mavic Mini 3 being 10 bit. Then I looked it up and saw they added 10 bit in a firmware update. Literally the only reason I didn't buy this drone at launch was because it didn't have 10 bit... crap.

✋My PRVKE is always maxed. Two bodies, two lenses, drone, shotgun mic, 2 lavs, transmitters and recorder, 2 small panel lights, laptop, chargers, tripod, gimbal, a ton of filters, tools, batteries, consumables and accessories. Like you I don’t always need it all but it’s better to have and not need than need and not have. Also can I get a link to the charger that changes to NPF?

You do need to register your drone and have the license in the US if you’re shooting content. The 250g limit doesn’t apply in that situation. And it can be a really expensive mistake!

Well, greetings fellow Torontonian! Though, the accent makes me think you may have a ‘made in Great Britain’ stamp somewhere on your back. Nice video, more on your equipment than the bag though. It took me two hours to get through your video as I was chasing down info on some things you showcased and now my buy list just got much longer. I was hoping you would don the bag with all your stuff for a look see and maybe hint at its weight/feel. Did you find the bag comfortable on your trip? Maybe a bit heavy with all your inventory? Could you have got away with the 25 litre model instead? It’s a bit pricy to competitors and knowing these things is helpful. Anyways thanks for the info and tips. Even though I shoot Canon, it was interesting to see all the accessories you have and bring along. And ya, that Aputure light is pretty sweet (I have one too). Cheers!

One bag for the stuff you leave at the hotel, another bag for the stuff that comes with you during the day. That is the trick.

When I travel, it's always with zoom lenses instead of primes. And, honestly, I could get by with a 24-70mm and a 70-200mm for almost all of my shots. If I still had my 24-105mm I could almost get by with just one lens. But, I'm an amateur, and of course, as always, it depends on what you'll be shooting.

Thanks for sharing Chris. I have tried both of those Sony microphones and although I love the sound coming out of them, they make too much movement noise when the shock absorber ‘works’ so I have refrained from purchasing them until they fix it. Have you found the same?
