Aston Field call it severe OCD mate. Our kits get moved around so it's useful to label it up. I've tried colour coded pouches it didn't work for my staff! Cheers for watching mate.

pc medical support services I sat down last night labeling everything. what system do you use in your service. i currently use MARCH after doing tactical combat care for private security. just wondering if it would be better to swap over to DRADC if I transfered to event medical services.

Feeling the bag divorce man. I'm happy with my set up at the moment and it's only been a year but my road trails and one major haemorrhage later that was Hep+ leave me craving for a wipe down fabric throughout like PAX have.

Lol. I feel your pain! I have to say the wipe down option for trauma bags. They are the best way forward. PAX are good but like Statpaks are expensive. I think it's hard to find THE perfect bag! Lol

i am a medic and i would never use saline spray i alway use alchol wipes just ambulance services

finlay taylor there is nothing wrong with irrigating wounds with saline spray. That's what it's for. Some kids do not like alcohol wipes. I would rather use this than nothing. When you say your a medic what's your clinical level.

finlay taylor you stated you were a medic and would never use saline. A medic can mean anything from a first aider to a doctor. Where is your evidence that you cannot use saline to clean wounds. If you have wounds contaminated with grit and dirt you would saline to clean it out. Hence why I asked at what level are you basing the use of Alcohol wipes only. Heavy wound contamination is cleaned with saline.

Uhh theres no problem with using saline for wound irrigation it's primary purpose IS irrigation. Wound wipes also cause a lot more disruption to tissue if you're trying to clean deeper wounds. A spray, pod, or even drip are all going to be sufficient for cleansing. Only concern you potentially face with a spray that's being used frequently is potentially contamination but it's to the same level any piece of equipment can be contaminated. There's very little in practitioner guidelines other than with medications and certain patient presentations that says use this method instead of that. Most of Prehospital care is improvise and think on your feet how to address a problem.
