Thank you Camila! No I only take it if I know for sure that I’m going to need it (=if I go hiking in the summer or to the beach) and it’s for short periods of time. Because if it’s for longer periods of time 100 ml that I’m allowed to bring in the carry on are not going to be enough anyways, so it’s better that I buy the whole bottle when I arrive to my destination.

How do you gracefully remove all your liquids when you go through security at the airport? In America at least I know they ask you to remove all of the liquids in a clear bag to go through the xray. Love your videos!
@WhatashameMaryJane5 жыл бұрын
Ahahah! "gracefully remove all your liquids".... 😜 The thing is that in 90% of the airports I use they yes officially require to put the liquids in a clear bag, but they don't actually ask you to do that when you physically arrive at the security checks. So what I do is: 1) I pack the toiletry bag in an easy reachable position 2) when in line at the security checks, I carefully observe how the officers behave. If I see only a few people (not all of them) putting liquids out of their bags I relax cause I understand officers don't require it 3) if I see everyone putting their liquids in a clear bag and I hear officers yelling to everyone to do so, I take a couple of those plastic bags and either in a corner or directly at the checks (very quickly if this is the case) I pull out my toiletry bag and move the liquids in the clear bags. I must say this last scenario has been very rare in my experience. I know two airports that require this and they are Gatwick in London and Oslo airport so before queueing up I slowly make the transfer of the liquids by sitting on a bench.

Hey! I don’t make them in a super simple way. I have a boring, scientific book about cosmetology and I’ve learned the practical part via Internet, mostly through an Italian blog called L’Angolo di Lola. I put quite a bit of time and effort to study how to make them and quite a bit of money to buy the materials, which after a while expire. It’s definitely not cheaper than buying them already made and it’s not the right answer to environmental problems, but I really enjoy making them myself and customize them however I please.
@WhatashameMaryJane3 жыл бұрын
If you’re into it already though, I make them via warm emulsion. (I tried to google it in English and here they explain what it is. i don’t know the website though formulabotanica.com/make-hot-cold-process-emulsion/)

Cosa sarebbe "una tipa da olio essenziale"?
@nicolapravisano60233 жыл бұрын

@WhatashameMaryJane5 жыл бұрын
Mel Cruz Mel Cruz Hey Mel! Thanks for the suggestions. You guys made me want to try these tools. But I must say I have my own opinions about sustainable living. For example I laugh when I see people who buy a bamboo toothbrush and at the same time buy clothes at H&M or similar fast fashion brands. I laugh when bars ban plastic straws only to replace them with paper straws. And in general, the widespread model of capitalism that we have in western countries is simply in contradiction with eco-sustainable living. There’s no sense of using bar soap if you then take the plane to avoid a 10 hours train or bus ride.
