In connection to the GoPro Audio issue, I discovered that using the adapter, if the camera is turned off and you hit the record button (to turn in on and record at the same time), the audio doesn't work, but if you turn it on with the power button and then hit record, it would work. An extra step, but worth it to get the audio you need. Hope this helps! Love y'all's vids!

Another great video. Becki, I so relate to you. You have the same love of packaging that I do and we both love the smell of new gear. LOL. Will you be doing a review of the new Peak Design tripod? I’ve seen a bunch already. Interested in what you both think of it. I just love how they designed the legs so that it gets rid of most of the negative space and the diameter is so small compared to other tripods. It can fit into a water bottle holder. I’m thinking of backing it, but the legs look so think and the center column is even thinner. Not that I would use it much, but I guess it’s a trade off having something so compact and light. You can’t expect it to be as rock steady as others. Weighting it down will probably be a must.

I got the new gopro7 and I use our GoPro to vlog cause it's easier. Yes, I am more about the eas. We got the new 7 and my rode mic set up with it only works half of the time. So now I am scared to use it (several videos no sound which isn't good for a vlogging) I went back to my 6 and only use the 7 for other shots.

It really sucks the Hero 7 needs an audio adapter. Instead of spending $50 on an adapter, and another $30-40 on a y- adapter, I just bought a used $25 Sony digital voice recorder and a Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pick-up Mic for $10. It works great, and is more realistic audio to what the pilot would hear compared to the y adapter where you dont hear engine noise.

In searching it looks like the mount is a rock steady vibex mount with a c-clamp/rib mount for then Centre spar.

It was, the top latch is broken and we haven’t had a chance to ship it back to the factory. It sucks out when we fly.
