Hey Zach! I've been loving the content recently and even took up your advice on the SoulCourt Boost a few months ago and loved the shoes. That said, for as long as I could remember I've been breaking through my shoes in what my coach calls "a place he's never seen before" in the right shoe right above the joints of some of my right toes. I play frequently, but this still seems like an odd place to burn through the shoes. In any case, I was wondering if you had any basic advice as to what to look for in future pairs and how I can stop getting these holes in the uppers. Thanks!

The PE you reviewed was also a general release colorway. I had a pair and they didn't have the rubber knubs on the sides. So although it was a PE, that is how the stock would've came too. And the colorways would also vary in materials, just letting you know

I use to take out the zoom units whenever the soles of my old basketball shoes would start coming off and I was getting a new pair. And I’d put them under the insoles of my shoes lol

Hey Doc, I was wondering if you had any basketball shoe recs that are lighter, more foot-shaped, and minimal heel-to-toe drop. I’ve been doing all of my training in barefoot shoes for the past few years, including plyometrics and playing basketball. Most basketball shoes feel unnatural and uncomfortable now, but I was thinking about trying them out again to see if I notice a difference in performance, if I can find a good model. I’ve heard good things about Kobe’s but have never owned a pair. Thanks! Even though I’m biased toward non traditional shoes, you’re breakdowns are really interesting and thorough!

The Kyrie 3 really has no cushion. I love the look of the shoe and the traction, but unless your legs are made of steel, the 3s will kill your knees and hips if you attempts to wear them for any real length of time. I Have every Kyrie and I really don't understand how his legs aren't destroyed at this point. The 8s feel like heaven compared to the 3s.

The Kyrie 3 is what Kyrie has been wearing all this season. The fact that even his PE’s have no cushion is crazy to me. No wonder he hated the infinities. Nike said they’ll put 2 zoom units and he looked at them like they had 5 heads.
