Thanks for the video brother I always grew up wanting to be a pro bass fisherman like everyone but this video isperfect to actually show the work and pregaming you guys have to do all the time not to mention the stuff you do with the boat just shows every thing takes hard work but pays off in the end at least for most people haha keep up the videos and stay safe out there good luck

Since you get your boat wrapped right after you buy it and it stays wrapped until you sell it, do you still pick out your favorite color scheme/metal flake when ordering the boat or do you get just the plain jane colors?

Jacob, very low chance you'll see this but i have an off the wall question for you. I am an oddball and just feel better throwing my jerkbaits on spinning tackle instead of my casting stuff. Would you recommend the SUFFIX 8# Nanobraid for that?
@WheelerFishing5 жыл бұрын
Nick Hass man that’s no big deal one of my best buddies does the same thing. I would say stick to fluorocarbon. That little bit of stretch is better for a couple reason for a jerkbait

Heat waves in the summer Jacob, do you take any measures to keep your truck cool...was thinking about the line baking in there all summer. Some guys say to store in cool dark places, just curious your opinion. Great video
@russb2965 жыл бұрын
Jacob, Did you switch to Duckett reels also, are you still fishing the Okuma line of reels? From the looks of it the Duckett reel series they only give you three gear ratios to choose compared to some of the other manufacturers. I know the Duckett line of rods seem to be pretty nice as well as having quite a few different technique specific rods... but the fact that the highest retrieve ratio that Duckett has available at this time is 7 to 1 seems a little slow for some applications considering Abu has the 10 to 1 reel that would definitely allow you to make quite a few more pitches over the course of a practice or tournament day.... And from watching you in your practice videos you move pretty fast and cover quite a bit of water in the time they give you for pre - tournament practice.... You definitely prepare yourself for any obstacle. I might have missed it but do you carry a spare trolling motor with you? Or do you rely on the Minn Kota service trailer and crew if you have an issue? I definitely remember back in my Bass Federation days where I had trolling motor issues that cost me a spot on the State team I remember wishing I had a spare on that day. From that point on I dedicated part of one of my rod lockers for a spare trolling motor....And wouldn't you know I never had another trolling motor issue... LOL
