Why is ignorant Nigerians reclaiming rivers for estate, it just playing with nature and nature has a way of fighting back in a big way. Eko Atlantic was a solid ground originally until it was gradually eroded over the years, reclaiming it and shore it with stones is completely different and make sense.These swampy areas is meant to retain water when the sea and rivers overflow, that is what nature design them for. Moreover all this reclaim land is basically building a house on sand not on solid ground it only a question of time...

It has a shoreline protection, from the bridge to Abuloma wharf is very solid.
