It is that clean because it has no fan in it to draw dust into it.
@happenstance75305 жыл бұрын
If you have problems with games not working after you took it apart check the cartridge caddy. The tray with the spring, there is a little clip on the underside of it that needs to be slid under the circuit board when you slide it back over the 72 pin connector before you screw it back on. When you lift the tray it should pull the circuit board up with it if it is attached right, with no screws in it.
@biowolf83335 жыл бұрын
Got to love working on old games. The reason most NES's are so clean inside is because there is no cooling fans inside like you find in newer consoles, these are known for pulling dust and debris into you systems. This is why I have air filters in my PC

The port on the bottom was intended for expansions for peripherals but they never used it really. I think in Minnesota they used it for gambling. I also think in Japan they used it for hooking into a famicon

Brett Harrison the Famicom (Family Computer System) is a console, not a peripheral. But there was the Famicom Disk Drive.
@ReaperX75 жыл бұрын
The bottom port was originally for the NES Disk Drive that never came to be here in the USA. The Famicom Disk Drive was supposed to make games less expensive but due to the fact NOA was more worried about kids not taking care of the disks and parents objecting, they scrapped the idea.

The 72 pin connector does come out, and if it starts giving you trouble just boil a pot of water and drop the connector in for a couple minutes and it will help to reset and clean the pins and will re-shrink the plastic around it and, after it dries thoroughly, make it work like new again.
@beerando99255 жыл бұрын
It really makes me happy that you cleaned this console and thanks for promoting your gaming channel, cause I never knew you actually did gaming lol I'm relatively new to your channel maybe like the first week of 2019 and I've fallen in love with it from the first video I watched that got me subbed and notified instantly. You are a very different channel and thank you for being different cause I get bored of watching the same ol fortnite and or generic yt vids and its nice to find/watch something new. Keep it up and I love your channel. Gonna go sub to your 2nd ine right now so stay amazing and god bless

With the cart tray off you slide the 52 pin connector back of the circuit board by pushing it toward the back of the system. The 52 pin connectors are what fails and you can buy new ones for super cheap off eBay if you ever need to. The slot on the bottom of the board was for a disc drive system that used floppy discs. It was released in Japan but never came to the US. That slot mirrored the cart slot on the system

I still have the complete NES (with gun!) that my boyfriend bought me for Christmas in 1986. I have Zelda and Marios Bothers/Duckhunt. Our Tvs didn't have AV inputs so we had to figure out the cable/game switch. We used to play Zelda for hours and I HATED when the dog would laugh at me when I missed a shot in Duck Hunt. I wonder if Duck Hunt works witha flat screen. :-D

1:21 - Taking the game cartridge out of ANY console that uses cartridges is equivalent to you moving an XBOX360 while the DVD game is spinning and you stand the console up from a flat position or vice-versa - damage the game and console! 2:30 - Simply get a fridge magnet (or any speaker, as the back of those is a magnet) and rub the tip of ANY regular screwdriver top to bottom for 1 minute, There you go! Now you have a magnetic tipped screw-driver for life!

If it isn't broke don't mess with it. Also if you are gonna keep taking consoles apart you should have an electrostatic wrist band and mat. That towel is begging to create and electrostatic charge and fry a circuit board.

I doubt it was developed for a CD ROM attachment years before CD ROMs/drives were even thought of. They may have thought about creating a CD rom attachment for it after they had been invented but not before.

I saw you last video when you tried out the system and sorry to say you had the blinking red light that means the 72 pin connectors bad because a full working in nes doesn't blink it just has a solid red light so the system you have right now somewhat works and that 72 pin connector can come out that's how you replace that pin connector
