My grandfather and his wife and family lived in Bermuda and some Aunt's were born there but they grew up in Jamaica but remained British citizens. I understand it is a very beautiful place. My Mom and Sister had a short stop over there and they enjoyed the visit.

It's beautiful but not much entertainment or things to do. One of the most expensive places in the world. The exchange rate to USA is $1 to $1.

I visited Bermuda about 8 years ago and I got the sense that some people didn't like Jamaicans. I stayed at place with a host (similar to AirBnB) and my wife and I were bitten by bedbugs. The host blamed the Jamaicans for bringing them, not knowing that we were from there. We paid for the best room that we learned was rented to white guests but was given the lower quality room. We got "upgraded" to the correct room for 1 day while she sorted out the bug issue. We did meet an EXTREMELY nice bus driver that made us feel very welcome and took us around showing the real beauty of Bermuda.

If you are living out of Jamaica and don't sound Jamaican when you travel to other islands say you are American or whichever country you are residing in. When in Europe, Asia or Middle East claim your Jamaican heritage. Jamaicans are well liked in those countries.

@@eileenwatt8283 that is factual. I learned there is a strong rivalry between the islands and everyone wants to be number 1. A lot are tired of being overshadowed by Jamaica

@@slappagon i lived in Antigua for awhile, and we are the most hated of all the nationalities that are represented there. To be fair though most of us dont hide in the shadows. We are natural born leaders, and some are just rude & cause me to be embarass to say am Jamaican when am around this type of behaviour.

LOL 😂 felt that way.... Xavier's job is not as easy as it looks...I work at an English school in Italy ( the conversation only department) although it's called " chat room" people come in expecting me to do all the chatting.... pulling teeth is no joke 🤣

Bermuda’s beautiful beaches are worth the visit, I found transportation around the island difficult, no car rentals & buses are long wait. Cars for each family are restricted so be prepared to take an expensive taxi. Food is nothing special, people are extremely friendly & welcoming.. loved the beaches. I would visit again for the island feel.

🇯🇲 Very beautiful aerial view. Noticed the police uniform look very much like Jamaica & Cayman, being very aware of their colonial masters. Since almost all foods are imported, I was expecting you to ask her where are the foods imported from, especially ground provisions. Would've been interesting to hear her last visit to Jamaica.

What is it like being a Jamaican in Bermuda? I'm not one but I'm a product of each. You will be welcomed and revered. There's a strong community here of Jamaicans and they will hang out in sects, depending on their likes and lifestyle. If we hear your accent we will stop and listen and may engage in more conversation with you just to hear it. At least I do. Your cuisine is admired and demanded. It's a big deal when Bermudians say that they will take a trip to Jamaica. We love your country. You will probably be favoured for employment over other nationalities, especially in the medical field. You can make it here with the high cost of living and your living conditions may not be tops, but it will still be clean and modest. Jobs range from transportation, cuisine, elderly home care, janitorial to construction. Or any field that you specialize in if there aren't enough Bermudians to fill the jobs. You'll probably miss the fresh fruits and vegetables as everything is just about imported, but Jamaicans are known to travel back home several times a year. There's not too many Jamaicans that I know of who have packed up and gone back to their country, or anywhere else, so they must love it here.

In addition to Horse Shoe Beach with sand of several colors, there is Elbow Beach where all the sand is pink. Best fish cakes in the world, and world famous rum swizzle. Big up JAMAICA GRILLE Restaurant Family in Bermuda. 🙏🏾❤️💛💚💪🏾

People went to Bermuda because the salary is good. The USA is the same as Bermudian dollar in value. You need heat in December in the homes. Most homes have white wash roofs. I don't know why. It's good to visit but Island fever will get you. Too small.

Bermuda has no lakes or rivers to get water, their water is captured from rainfall on the white roofs and feed to storage tanks under every home.
