I must give Diane 100% credit for an excellent honest description of the British Virgin Island (AKK BVI). I was offered a job in the BVI, back in 1970, when I was a teenager at Hotel School in my native Jamaica. I accepted. the islands was still basically unknow. I watch the BVI grew, as I spent the next 37 years plus of my life, in this beautiful place. I was basically adopted by some really nice BVI families. I just fit in, and became a local, finishing growing in the BVI, married, having children, learn Chess, and representing the BVI at many international Chess Olympiads, and many more accomplishments, was the best days of my entire life. I even became a sort of a BVI historian in my own way, by documenting local events, especially in video and Photography, plus saving all kinds of local information, in print, and so on. Lots of great changes has taken place since 1970 in growth and development of these BEAUTIFUL islands. The BVI is dear to my heart. Thanks again Diane for an excellent interview of BVI life. You did not miss a beat. I commend you even more, for not speaking anything negative about the British Virgin Islands, in your fabulous interview.

I really enjoyed this interview, she is one of those people that you can just listen to, and totally enjoy........you need to get her back and do another interview sometime. No special reason....do it "just because" your audience enjoyed her so much. (Oh...the sugar in the red pea soup, it's not totally unheard of. I have friends from Costa Rica and Panama who add sugar to their stew peas and rice, so it's not such a stretch to do it for soup) Although quite honestly, I can't say I'll be rushing to try it!!
