Great interview Xavier and Roger! Good point about visiting all the parishes in JA and enjoying scenic spots that tourists spend hundreds of dollars to visit. There are many of my friends and colleagues (especially the ones that live in Kingston) that have never been to Portland, St. Elizabeth or Negril…😮 Despite the ill effects of crime in this country…it’s still a beautiful place and there is this “homely” feeling that exist here on this likkle piece of rock we call HOME.

The consulate General of Jamaica is close by the “little Jamaica Strip”. Little Jamaica was the place to be back in the day but Jamaican culture and food is available everywhere now. Jamaican food and produce are sold in most grocery stores.

I can’t forget my first day to work in the business district in Toronto. I went in the packed elevator and said good morning. The silence was deafening. I told my husband never again! Shame almost kill mi 😂😂

When I went to college the first day in America I stood up when the professor entered the class room and said" good afternoon ". No answer and I looked around and everyone remained seated. Oops too much manners from growing up in Jamaica where teachers were respected.

Loved this. I am a Canadian who loves Jamaica and most recently spent 24 hours travelling from our home on the east coast of Vancouver Island (on the west coast of Canada) to our beloved Treasure Beach on the south coast of Jamaica and would do it again in a heartbeat. I agree that Frenchman’s Cove in Portland is magnificent!

well Whitby on the map I have been here almost 30 years. I went to every parish before I left Ja and I have taken my Canadian Kids to every parish back a yaad. There are lots of places to go but they have been around the Island.

I went to cousins Supermarket to buy Cane; dog never have 7 puppies.
