I bought a 2016 road Glide last year and went from a soft tail Convertible cvo to the bagger. Felt like it was learning to ride all over. The weight was very noticeable right away. 15 k miles later I love the Road Glide. Never going back.

Yeah just a little to get use to but after that I'm sure it's amazing

I started on the SPORT glide, it was a great and manageable bike, and I switched to the 2024 ROAD glide and that great feeling of lightness and maneuverability was combined with power and robustness, making it fantastic.

That's a nice transition 👌

Bro, I bought a brand new 23 Road Glide. I've have a 22 Street Bob, 09 Dyna Low Rider, CVO Fatbob, a Crossbones. I thought I don't need one of those touring bike. Holy cow! I feel in love with the Road Glide! I have other bikes to ride whatever the situation is, but I'll never get rid of my Road Glide. My Street Bob has a stage 2. I know what you mean in your video, but the touring bikes are heavier. That 655 lb Street Bob is a light weight monster. Very fast and quick.

Two months and some 5K miles later, I’m really enjoying my ‘24 RG. It’s the best Harley that I’ve owned.

It's a good one for sure. It will keep people happy for awhile

I first owned a Sporty Custom XL1200C. I decided that I needed a long-distance bike, and test rode a Road King, then a Road Glide. I bought the '22 Road Glide (didn't trade the Sporty though). I was amazed how much better the touring bikes handled than the Sporty. I rode 31K miles last year, and loved every mile of it. After riding the RG for a year, I started hating the Sporty. I ended up trading the Sporty 1200C for a new '23 Heritage 114. The Heritage is my preferred ride for around town and for rides generally less than 2 hours (that's a very soft limit), when riding solo. My wife doesn't like being 2-up on the Heritage. So, for long runs and 2-up, the RG gets the nod. I love both bikes and will never say that I categorically like one bike better than the other. A couple weeks ago, I did test ride a new '24 Street Glide Special. It was my first time on a Street Glide. I was a bit surprised at how much I liked it. Sport Mode was crazy fun. I really liked the digital control panel. I really liked the feel and handling of the SGS, too. I think that my only knock on the '24 SGS is that the infotainment center doesn't come with GPS maps; they have to be bought separately. For the price of these bikes, that REALLY pissed me off, and I'll probably never buy one. The Harley Nav system on my RG has its problems (I frequently dog-cuss it). H-D should not have pulled the maps off, making them a paid-subscription upgrade.

I was a little intimidated the first time i rode my 2015 road glide. I'd been used to smaller bikes where you could get away with not having to have excellent clutch control when doing the slower stuff. These monsters you can't do that. If you're not giving the rear wheel power through the clutch and throttle at slow speeds, you're dropping it. Once you master the clutch and rear brake in the slow parking lot stuff, you don't think about being on a 860lb bike anymore. My 2015 road glide is extremely smooth when you're above 20mph

Well put getting used to the weight in the turns is a bit. I came off a Yamaha bolt and on a road king now. I love my king and how smooth it floats down the road. It corners great and easy to toss around now. Just the first month is getting used to it. Anyone on the fence on a touring bike go for it.

Just like anything I'm sure it's a blast the more and more you get used to it

Great video... been on the fence about trading in my street bob and getting the 24 roadglide. A bit intimidating going to a bigger bike. Thanks for the input.

@michaelbrown9871 I haven't ridden anything in 8 years, and my only experience was Sportsters. I picked up a 2016 Electra Glide Ultra Limited last Saturday. They look intimidating, and it took me a bit to talk myself into test riding it. I'm glad I did! It's a totally different riding experience. After you get the bike moving it's really more capable in every way over the Sportsters that I've owned. I like the Sportster for around town blasts, but after 75 miles I was sore and ready to be off of it.

@michaelbrown9871 I rode it to work yesterday 97 miles one way. Excellent! My hands went numb a couple times, but they do that driving a car as well. Cruise control helps tremendously with being able to stretch your hands.
