Interesting to see what you consider a long drive - being from California, a long drive is one that's at least 6 hours.

I do admire Jason for taking on the driving. Driving on the wrong side of the road, coping with all that traffic on busy roads whilst following a sat nav ain't my idea of fun. Loved those 2 ships all alight and as it got darker all the buildings lit up. Amazing. Thanks guys.

I don’t mind driving and my super power is remaining calm so that helps 😂 San Diego is so pretty at night isn’t it?

I grew up in Southern CA. Watched all those freeways being built. Travelled many times to San Diego. As my kids grew, we ended up taking the train to San Diego. More fun and less time on the freeway. Plus we parents got there Rested!

Kevin and I had a chuckle when you said 2 hours was a long drive. That’s nothing for us. I guess that’s the difference when you live in a big country. We drove down the coast road - much nicer even if longer.😊 You arrived in San Diego at such a nice time.

Haha very true! It was so pretty when we arrived, perfect timing which we wouldn’t have had if we had carried on the interstate 😊

I have always said im willing to drive anywhere but sadly i draw the line at doing that route, too many things to look out for and you are on the wrong side of the road. Massive well done Jason and thats not me being sarcastic xx

Nah it’s a piece of cake….. technically they drive on the ‘right’ side in America so not sure we can say it’s wrong 😂

After driving around mission valley/downtown, I had an Uber passenger once tell me that it’s harder to drive in San Diego than LA. We concluded its because we have a similar density road styles, but our higher speeds makes road turns and changes occur much more frequently. Think of the 163 area I n balboa park vs the LA Downtown area

As tourists we have driven in both but definitely prefer driving in San Diego. I guess being British we are used to small roads and frequent turns and twists 😂 at least the traffic moves in San Diego 🤣

Can you believe we have never had panda express. I would choose the coastal drive over the interstate any day. The roads in America scare me haha xx

Never!? Maybe next time you visit give it a go 😍 coastal drive for the win 🏆

Thank you! It can be a bit daunting sometimes but you just have to make a decision and stick with it knowing the gps will reroute if you go wrong. Staying calm is the key 😊

All cars in the US have A/C. Why the surprise?

And most British cars are manual.

Your video filled me with genuine anxiety lol Getting a local (preferably an American friend you happen to know in Los Angeles) to drive you to San Diego would've been ideal. For starters, we know roads the GPS (Sat Nav) wouldn't consider. In addition, we would shave minutes off of the estimated time given to you. Food for thought 😊

You came to experience America with a Japanese car and Chinese food? That's not how you do it.
