One time I would like to see a long-runner F. I. manifold tested with a long duration cam to push the power curve out way past the power peak. Like you did with the TPI manifold comparison except more extreme. Get an Edelbrock Cross Ram or the Holley Sniper Dual Plenum for the rec port heads, and run a cam with more than 270° @ .050" of intake duration and see how far out past the power peak it carries and if the extra duration moves the power peak up higher too. I suggest 3 cams of increased duration from a "torque cam" with about 200° @.050", a "mid-range" cam with about 230° @.050", and then the long cam. I'm not expecting more peak power with the long cam and long runners than the same cam and short runners, just that the power won't fall off a cliff like with long runners and a short cam.

a 270 @ .050 will just hurt power through most of the curve

I'm in for sure. And you really should look into writing one of those SA Design or Motorbooks Workshop books. You have a TON of knowledge on engine combos and I know you have everything in all these KZbin videos but I think it would be a big seller. It would be something like an encyclopedia of engine combos and you could sort it by type of engine and just go through some of the different parts combos and numbers you have seen. Heck, even call it "The Engine Combo Encyclopedia" lol. I would buy two copies. Love the videos by the way and thank you for sharing so much knowledge with us for free. I think a lot of people forget about that. ***EDIT*** I decided to take a look and I see you have actually written a bunch of those books, I'm a dummy. LOL!!!! Well, guess I have some Amazon shopping for books to do. I was going to delete my comment but I figured you would get a chuckle out of that, I did. LOL!!!

@@richardholdener1727 You should be proud, that is quite the accomplishment. True to my comment I am buying two copies of the How to Build LS Gen IV Performance on the dyno now. One hard copy for my shop in Texas and a Kindle version so I can read it out here in Iraq when I'm supposed to be helping the Iraqi Army troubleshoot their helicopters. lol

Basically with the 300 foot charge pipe, he went from 800 NA to 320+/- with 9 pounds of boost.
