My neighbors blue spruce trees are all dying. He had four of them on his side yard. Three were dying & I cut one down years ago, & one fell down & I helped him cut it up. Another one is dead & the last one is half dead.

My spruce lost and is still losing needles at a fast rate. I believe it has this needle cast fungus as I have watched several videos trying to identify the problem. It has gotten to the point that I can now practically see through the tree. I guess my only resort is removal. I hate losing a tree in my landscape not because of expense but the time it has taken to get to this point. I planted the tree 10 years ago. Thanks for the video.

Yep, I've got two spruce's at my parents, and they both are dying, and have been for over 10 years. Some years one of the spruce's will really look like it's coming back to life, then following years it will look sufferable, only to go on this path of existence throughout the seasons. I've contemplated cutting them down for years, but they seem to have just enough green that I keep giving them another year. Weird.

Our Blue Spruce tree we have had for 40 years and now the needles are turning yellow. My husband has been removing the dead branches to try and save it, but it seems to be going to the top and he says it will have to be taken down. I was hoping that pruning it will keep it alive.

what is the chemical to spray

Good Morning. It's been so long now, I don't recall but it was a common fungal spray I believe. We tried but ultimately lost that huge tree and had to remove it. :(

@@spacecatboy2962 I do think so. But, I bought from a landscape company so I'm not sure of specific brand, etc.

Spruce tree is very but unfortunately I’ll not keep it again... they are not strong as other tree... extremely sensitive..

I can tell you that spraying a spruce tree over 30' for needlecast is not worth it. It's hard to get good coverage and unless you have a massive property, you end up causing spray drift onto your neighbors property which will often lead to issues.
