There is an episode in the future of WML being advertised as Groucho destroys the show. It's dangerous to underestimate Groucho, but I can't imagine him breaking things up any better and any more charming than what Debbie Reynolds did during her turn at MG this night. I am guessing that she had already been booked on WML when Eddie Fisher divorced her and married the person she considered one of her closest friends. Maybe she was crying on the inside, but on the outside she held her head high, wore a huge smile and had fun.

This particular show was pretty much an American institution in the heyday of television. With the exception of its first few months on the air, this show aired on Sunday nights at 10:30pm Eastern Time on CBS, where it would be from October 1950 until its cancellation in early September 1967. The producers of this show, Mark Goodson and Bill Todman, would go on to produce a number of game shows over the years, a couple of which are still on the air today.

It was a pity that she couldn't have a walk on role in Titanic. That would have a real hoot!!!

Debbie Reynolds is gorgeous, adorable and charming all rolled up in one. This is one of the best MG appearances in the history of the show. Those who thought it went on too long or didn't like it have NO idea what entertainment is or what WIT is, Their sense f wit is only half developed. Or maybe not even half developed.

I wouldn't call rambling on and on and ruining the pacing of the game wit at all...

Both of her appearances, this one and 1954, were two of funniest episodes ever! Debbie was amazing and Arlene’s off the cuff comments are sooo funny!

Debbie Reynolds is her usual uproarious self and a total class act. It says a lot about her that she appeared on the show in the middle of her divorce to Eddie Fisher, especially since she'd appeared with Fisher on this very show.
