I googled the "What Has Sheraton Done For You Lately?" commercial. As soon as I heard the jingle I realized it was Dana. And I thought I remembered every commercial from the 60s, 70s and 80s...

Actually in November 1974 Nimoy had a show on the air; the animated version of "Star Trek" which was pretty good!

I always hated when they did the demonstrations of what the guests did, because it took away so much question time. The older versions, you had more time to question but the 1972+ versions they would keep demonstrating and before you know it, Larry or Wally would be saying..... 30 seconds left and they got nowhere.

I couldn't agree more. A lot of interviewers interrupt, prompt for quick answers. The disgraced Charlie Rose, and most broadcasters today-not all-don't know their craft. Bill Buckley, Cronkite, were in a different class. Dick Cavett was quite good.

Caveat liked to go on and on even though he could get guests to share about various things at length. But personally, I wanted Cavett to shut up and let the guest speak uninterrupted.

While nice I think we really did not to see what they did. The longer questioning was what the game was all about and the show did eventually fall by the wayside

This episode reminds me of a 1955 version with John Daly he if I remember correctly he was a Canadian mountie which after Arlene removed her mask then and the others were still blindfolded she made comments on the garb the mountie was wearing kinda similar to this person here

My goodness, the intelligent questioning of Arlene compared to the clueless questions of the other panelists is startling.This new version is almost unwatchable if you're familiar with the original.

Absolutely! She is still the sharpest of the panel. Unfortunately, I see she eventually died of Alzheimer’s disease. No sign of it here.

This version of WML seems so cheesy and boring. The original was classy and fun. The panel here seems dull and lacks the camaraderie of previous iterations of the show.

Good point. Watered down, actually the show was dying. The original had intelligent panellists, was prime time and drew huge ratings.

The set reminds me of a circus. The panel is hurriedly introduced. I hate to see Arlene with this group. The original panel and show far outclassed the syndicated version.
