I had a 1969 and a 1971 C20, 350, 4 speed manuals, bought in the mid 1970’s for around AUD2500 each. Both long gone from my ownership and of course sold for nothing like current values.

I like your truck, and will look to see more. I'm surprised you didn't take notice that C30 has a BBC. Perhaps original. Generally speaking, a BBC is far more desirable than SBC. I have a C10, SWB ,402, neat little "sport truck". But I don't know if I agree a C10 is more desirable than a C20. Depends who is looking. Never had a C30, but I think one would be very cool. That truck is remarkable, and the price showed it. Not a big fan of the blue one, but perhaps the new owner got a good truck. Incidentally, near as I've seen your truck is worth north of 30K. Heck, restore mods are fetching a 400K cost to the buyers sometimes, dollars to donuts a lot of the parts are Chinese junk.................Edit, couldn't find more images of your truck. Images of the engine bay and even under carriage would be very cool.

I would not take Mecum as any reference to what "market value" is. Most frequently these are inflated values for multiple reasons.

It's not an inflated value if it's still selling within a reasonable amount of time. Mostly because somebody just showed you that it was worth the value. As a matter of fact, the phrase " inflated value" as a term got its start in political circles, and by design, only fits into conversations about economics or real estate. As long as a crowd as large as our classic Chevy trucks fan base continues to buy at least 20 of these trucks a week,...the value is clearly there!
