You REALLY have to allow the user to choose the image to be used in the note index. It usually gets fixed when you post the first image of a note. If you later change the images within the note, the index image stays the same. Very often, it is not the image you want to associate with the note, e.g. some generic icon or the face of the author of the article rather than an image actually representing the content. Just let the user choose!

Please DON'T send new video notification in the app itself. I don't have interest to follow these announcements. There's no way to mark a notification as read unless I have to to click into it. I only want getting notification for what i'm specified and expecting.

I really hate this. also the "AI search" bar thing that gets bigger when you click on it. I just want to search my notes. I don't even know what AI search would be. but it's definitely not what I want. I just want to search, not suddenly take up a gigantic confusing part of my screen.

I agree. I've had nothing but hell since this company bought and rewrote Evernote and have spent hours listing the problems, which one would think they would appreciate. No one ever answers and the problems do not get solved despite frequent updates. I even bought a new fast Macbook Air because Evernote refused to work on my older one and it still doesn't work!

Thank you for bringing back the ability to see reminders on the mobile app. Took me a minute or two to work out how you had done it, realise now no need for me to filter by reminders, simply to sort by reminder time. NIce

I love Evernote been here since the start but after a few months of issues with mobile on apple it getting to the point of being unhelpful to use the app on a phone. which for me was always my main area for future use back at the office. small text having to close notes to reopen to get back to standard font size. plus other glitches that are making using the app frustrating apart from that love it

Your new features are seriously getting in my way. I either use a slash or hit the slash key by mistake, and so, frequently, as I am typing during my meetings, which I do fast word for word, frighteningly and shockingly, I look up and all of my words have disappeared as I have now formed a new linked note or something else has happened that is on the menu for the slash. If I try to get back to my original note on the fly from the main screen, it will instead show me the new blank note and I cannot type into the original one without showing the entire program, which means I cannot detach a note and place it beside a Zoom screen for instance. I don’t even like seeing the notice for it on my screen as I am working and I don’t like having it execute actions that I did not intend due to invoking it without meaning to. I have missed important information while trying to scramble back to my original note, which is discombobulating for me and the people I am intently listening to and taking notes for. Frankly, I don’t see the purpose of this slash menu, as using the control key to get to an additional menu has always been available on Macs. I would very much appreciate, if you are going to keep this feature, if you give us the opportunity to toggle it off in the settings.

Good news and bad news. Good that others agree this is a problem. Bad that Evernote staff never addresses the myriad bugs that I report or requests for assistance I submit. Using this program, which used to be a dream, became a nightmare when it was sold. And worse, that the export feature doesn't work either, so I cannot move my notes to another program.

The new mobile interface is not user-friendly. Before, I had a fully customized home screen, ready for what I used the most! I had my tags right at the beginning, along with pinned notes. Now you've increased the clicks needed for these features, reducing productivity. I hope that "My Widgets" becomes an option for the home screen again.

I agree it would be fantastic to offer the option to swap out one of those bottom navigation buttons for Home/My Widgets. For example, I never use the Create button. I would swap that out.

I totally agree. I usually want to access my widgets more than creating a new notes with the large buttons in the main screen. To do that now I have to tap on the top left option button, then "my widgets" it would be great to at least have "my widgets" visible as one of the buttons on the main screen, or as another round buttons beside the top left option button. it'll save us 1 tap, at least.

Thank you, Evernote continues to improve significantly! It would be extremely useful to have the ability to open tasks in a new window, just like any other note. This feature is essential for daily work as it allows us to monitor the status of tasks, identify which ones have been completed, prioritize others, and simultaneously consult and edit multiple notes.

long time Evernote user. Regarding the collaboration part, I've haven't seen the send to Evernote direct from outlook work on desktop or mobile. When I speak to Microsoft service reps they say it's an Evernote thing. Please restore/fix this functionality. Love how y'all are making Evernote so much more functional then notes. You can search note titles by using the intitle: search operator in Evernote Search.

There's an extremely annoying bug in the mobile version: one of the main reasons for the use of EverNote is to store texts and images as resources to copy & paste into other applications. Naturally, many of my notes contain dozens, of images, but only the first one can be accessed with the "copy" function. If I display any other image and access the image menu, then choose "Copy image", I still get the first image in the note. Very annoying. The ONLY way to access the other images is to save them to the photo library and access them from there, which adds many additional steps - open photo library, copy image, open target, paste image, back to photo library, delete image...

I wish you would do something about locating past material on an Evernote PC when trying to backlink. Right now, when I search, Evernote provides the last 10 or so articles, unlike my iPhone, which enables me to find old articles. Evernote for the PC used to be able to do what the iPhone does, but it no longer can. Come up, guys!

Would love this option - follow the workflow. 1) Create Notebook. 2) Share Notebook 3) upon creation, provide an option that states, "Allow to rename?" I use Evernote to build projects - and each project is a notebook. Those projects frequently need to be renamed as the order of the creation of the work product changes. I have loved Evernote for many years and have been a paid subscriber but I would have to say that the current versions for iPhone and iPad are not great. This is due to design and bugs. Before I list these, firstly my iOS and iPadOS software is always up to date and app updates are automatic so I always have the latest version. 1. Why remove having a tab for reminders and a tab for notes? Keep the Mac version the same for iPhone and iPad! I can just cope with the new reminders order sorting but I miss the old version where they sit side by side. However, when I mark a reminder as done, why does it still sit at the top? Can’t it go to the bottom of the reminders order list? I often restore reminders that are completed for the next month as they are recurring but the date will change. So now I have to move the reminder note to the trash and restore from there. Beyond frustrating when one of your main reasons for using Evernote is reminder functionality. 2. When you open the iPad app into your notes list, the first note / reminder does not load in the side pane. You are presented with a ‘scrolling wheel’ until you touch the note you want to edit / change. This makes the Evernote app on iPad look cheap and nasty. Surely, this would have been identified in the test environment on iPad before software release? If not, your software testers are not thorough in their work! The way the app is at the moment, I find it such a hassle to use on my devices and I find I am using it more on my Mac now which I don’t like. I am paying $14.99 a month (Australia) for reduced functionality in my view. I am so tempted to cancel my subscription at the moment. Please review these comments and take them on board as I am currently disappointed with Evernote. Thanks Brett

Suggestion for new (old) link feature: ability to link/point to files on your computer inside a note (obviously only relevant for the laptop version. Perhaps I dreamed it up, but the original Evernote may have had such a feature, and for a while I pasted http: links starting with "file:" which work ok but are awkward. One of the things I have used Evernote for is the organization and cross-classification of my badly organized file storage.

I really like the follow-up you offer on my favorite note-taking application. The videos are really useful for finding out what happens next. I'd like to make a few suggestions for improvement: 1. Add flexibility to shortcuts (especially highlighting, which hasn't worked for over 1 year on my Macbook). This is essential to keep maximum execution speed. 2. Improve tables and make them more accessible. There's no need to do a Google Sheet bis, but facilitating the rendering, at least for the computer version, would be very cool. The more ergonomic they are, the better! The latest feature for pinning notes directly into notebooks is a marvel. Can't wait to see and enjoy the rest! This is where I'm delighted to pay for an application that really brings me value. Thank you so much!

As i always say.... Evernote is back! Great work! We still have some work to do for Evernote for Android, i sometime have to tap the note twice to open it and sometimes the note last opened gets hidden when you back to the notes page. Also i would like to have access to all the Daily Templates in the template gallery. but again thanks for all the great updates and all the hard work you guys are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we need more KZbin videos for workflows and best practices!!!

I am limping along, struggling to use this program, which was a dream before your company rewrote it and destroyed the Legacy program by upgrading it no matter how many times I tried to re-install it. I even bought a new MacBook Air M3 because Evernote became impossible on my older MacBook and it still is loaded with bugs, not to mention that the important notes that got truncated, (an hour's worth of notes cut down to a paragraph or two) never returned. Even the export feature doesn't work so I can't move my notes to another program.

Hi, thanks! One IMPORTANT question: will there ever be possible to use camera zoom on iphone while taking pictures right from evernote? For instance, you're sitting in a big hall taking notes from the speaker. There's also a power point presentation on a screen which you want to save by taking pictures but it's too far away and you need zoom. But you can't because its Evernote you're using. And you're switching to apple notes or taking pictures with a regular camera app and then transfer to Evernoet. It is such a husstle and distracts so much.

Like the updates but there's a bug with sharing 'publish to web' option. Microsoft Edge does no recognise it. Many ppl unable to open the links because of this, be great if that could be fixed. Also the 'export PDF' function.... the PDF's it produces are shockingly bad, with no way of adjusting the pages, so I end up with huge random gaps in the pdf. Again, sorting this would be epic 🙏. Voice notes work great as does transcribe of them. Thanks for this

While I love Evernote for so many things, I am absolutely MISSING the way that overdue tasks were highlighted on mobile when it had the old "Home page." Is there any way to make the little Tasks icon bold or have a notification number when you have overdue tasks? I cannot tell you how many times I've missed something because I didn't happen to catch the notification on my phone or watch. Evernote...you are supposed to be an extension of my brain and I rely on not having to remember tasks. That's the whole point! Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I really don't want to set my default home page to Tasks, nor do I want to have to remember to click My Widgets. Maybe I'm missing something. Otherwise, I love the updated communications and all the efforts to make a better workflow. Keep it up!!!

For about a week now, THE INTERNAL LINKS DON'T WORK ANYMORE! You had this problem before and fixed it. Now it's down to links only working within the same notebook, but not across notebooks. This is EXTREMELY annoying, as I have gigantic index pages that connect content throughout my more than 27'000 notes.

Hello, I sort my notes by title in a notebook, and have used this format for a very long time with no issue at all. The title format is "2024 - 9/7/24 - ABC, 2024 - 9/6/24 - ABC, 2024 - 9/5/24 - ABC". Around a month ago my files started to no longer be in the proper order. The dates should all be in order, and they used to be, but now no longer are. They are still sorted correctly on my mac laptop, but on my daily windows PC the sorting is incorrect. If I had to guess I got some Evernote update on my PC and that is what makes it no longer sort the dates properly. Any help would be absolutely appreciated x100! This is killing me. Again I would really really appreciate how to fix this and go back to it working properly again. Thank you so much. -Billy

Everything is very nice, but I think they have been stuck with the Folders for two years. It would be great to be able to assign colors to the folders and filter them by colors, as it is a very good organization container. In addition, the levels could be increased and explored with a folder explorer similar to the Windows Explorer or Norton Commander from the 90s.

Been using Evernote a long time and I do like the improvements....especially the Audio / Transcribe ! That is fab! On the sharing and collaboration I would be interested to see a development in sharing to non Evernote users. May be a "tech " issue on my side but whenever I share (to family and friends) no one can view the data! I see "email" collaboration improvements - how about a share of data to whatsapp for example! Quality of life improvement desperately needed: Mass note formatting. Please. I like to have all my headers the same size to standardise the way my notes work throughout my notebooks. For some reason, fonts are set to slightly different settings on notes (could be because of the source it is being copied from, past me not remembering exactly what Heading 1's font size should be etc.). BUT, I want to be able to correct this enmasse. It should be a setting that you can set in your app to provide the default Heading sizes and formats and to force all past notes to adhere to these standards. I know Im not the only one who needs this feature. I tried to look into building a Python script to do this for me, but honestly time and skill levels does not allow me to do so today.

Also, spellcheck in more than one language. I'm bilingual with English as my second language. My notes are often a hodge podge of multiple languages. Spell checking my content in both languages at the same time (does this work exists in either Afrikaans or English) would be amazing. This I realise may be a bit niche. But it would be nice. I have a Oppo Reno 5 Lite with 8 + 8 gb ram. I can use every app fine except Evernote. Evernote takes too much time to open, to be functional. Even after the opening, when I try to click a note, it takes time to open it. I have only this problem. Except that everything going just perfect! I am an Evernote user. I don't know other features, and I feel a lot of burden that I can generate up to 50 notes on a free plan. This does not mean that the number of note creations should be unlimited. At the very least, I would like to increase the number of notes in the free plan to 100.

I have used Evernote since 2010. i donlt want my notes to ever open on a web browser. I do not collaborate or work as part of a team, and the APP LINKS are what I NEED every time as they form part of my work structure for me to access notes from other places (PowerPoint notes, etc.). Please put the APP LINK option back on the menu - or make the app the default, not web. Not everyone email links to others; we are not all the same as you!

I appreciate the improvements in sharing. However, I'm concerned about the upcoming live collaboration features, as it seems Evernote is shifting its focus from being a note-taking app for individuals to one designed for organizations, which serve different purposes. I understand the desire to enter this market, as companies have more resources than individuals. However, I worry that this direction might lead Evernote to lose its identity and become just another document-sharing tool for organizations, like so many others already out there.

Why does no one react on the extreme devastating reactions for your android app in play store. Just was looking into because i wanted to report a bug that it is not possible to sort notes by alert date in android app but noticed that you are ignoring that channel.

I want to go back to classic because I have not been able to use the app since the first week of July. It has destroyed my businesses and I have been using Evernote for over a decade!!! Today, the desktop forced an update and when I restarted the computer EVERYTHING IS NOW GONE ON MY DESKTOP TOO!

You are doing great ! Just one important thing,TASKS are really malfunctioning on Android,check filters (recurring tasks aren't showing up many a times).after reset all filters,half of tasks are not showing up we need to them reopen the app, this has happened after recent last updated where you have introduced + sign in tasks in Android as well now

@@evernote HI , YES I have raised a ticket and attached activity log as well ,described issue as well.BUT no single reply since 2 days. I have checked that filters are intermittently not working on separate 2 android mobiles which were working before the recent updates(after filters are cleared tasks are showing in total sometime 10 out of 20 tasks sometimes all 20 correctly) . This issue you also might be aware of .I absolutely love Evernote(premium and professional user always) and wanted to shift my task management workload from Todoist to here (since you have now introduced '+' button in android as well so notes wise task segregation is easy and in minimal taps which wasn't a case before on mobile )BUT this is as of now a showstopper.Also awaiting subtasks feature eagerly !!!

ich nutze Evernote schon seit vielen Jahren, aber ab der "Neuen" Version ist es sehr unübersichtlich. Auch einige Tastenkombinationen sind nicht mehr verfügbar, bzw. man kann über Windows das "ausschneiden" von Texten nicht mehr ansteuern. Schade, war immer sehr begeistert!!

Todo eso está muy bien, pero lo que no puede ser es que por hacer todas estas "mejoras", mi teléfono no abra las notas. Si haceis cualquier modificación en la app, no es justo que los usuarios que estamos pagando por un servicio, nos veamos perjudicados. Mejoras sí, pero sin prejuicios. Lamento decir que si no solucionais esto pronto, a pesar de llevar 10 años utilizando evernote, tendré que buscar otra alternativa. Llevo mas de 3 meses si poder utilizar evernote en mi teléfono. Estoy muy enfadado.
