I have never left EN but was feeling unsure about the future of EN. Have thought of abandoning EN many times. And when Bending Spoons took over, I thought this is the death knell for EN and I begin actively looking for an alternative. But due to work load and laziness, I did not do any migration of my notes to the new alternative I have selected. Now I am so glad that I did not move. Bending Spoons is doing a great job re-inventing and re-invigorating EN. Suddenly, EN feels alive again for me and I am once again excited about EN as when I first used it 10 years ago! Good job Bending Spoons! Continue the good work on EN and you will continue to have me as a subscriber :)

Great job. The "Copy Note Link" command no longer offers the option to choose between web and app. I asked this question in the Evernote forum and Gazumped told me that the two commands exist as Keyboard shortcuts. If I now select a note and click on Copy Note Link and attach that link in the notes field of my task it doesn't work: the link opens the web version but doesn't open the specific note. The solution suggested by the forum is the following: press Control+Option+Command+C to copy the link to the note referred to in the app. Why was this menu changed? It worked fine. It is extremely important to be able to access a note from an action of your task (Omnifocus). Thanks

I noticed the same new and undesirable behavior with the “Copy Note Link” menu item in the Desktop version. Very disappointing … however I found a workaround that works for me. I use the “[Insert | Link to Note]” option in the target Note where I want to Add the Note link - the added Note link will open in the app, not the web browser. Unfortunately, this workaround is “backwards”/not as convenient in that you first edit the target Note where you want to add the Note link and then add the source Note as the link. Plus you have to type enough words from the Title of the source Note in the pop up search box so it is easier to find that Note in the pop up list of Notes to select from.

We all make mistakes, love that you addressed this at the beginning of the video. It gives me so much more confidence in BS and Evernote. I'd love to see better Markdown support! It would be great to be able to paste Markdown and have it automatically format the text. Even a "Convert Markdown" option in a context menu would be a big help. And being able to copy text as Markdown would make my writing workflow much smoother. Thanks🐘

Hi there. Bulk editing of notes would be immensely useful. And its fine if it starts simple, changing default H1,H2 etc fonts and applying it to all notes. Similarly but different enough. I would love to be able to programmatically change my note titles for example (to conform to certain standards) is there any support for such methods. It seems the Python route has either become too difficult with too little support behind it to be useful, or am I mistaken? Your feedback would be welcomed. I love the updates and I love the direction my life app is taking. Cheers!

I would desperately love for you to add “time” back into the “created” column. I write 20-30 notes a day and very much miss being able to quickly see what time of day I wrote the note when searching through my days notes !! Thank you !!!!

I appreciate the improvements that have been happening, and the better communication. Keep it up! One of my big issues - the scrollbars. Right now, on my Evernote Windows desktop app, there are three different scrollbar styles in three different panes of the application. The Note is best with a nice wide scrollbar. The Note List has a medium size one, and the left pane with the Tags, etc. has an extremely narrow scrollbar, which is the worst.

Happy Evernote user! Will you ever add a feature that let us manually reorder all My Tasks (from different notes)? I don't want to through the hassle of assigning a date to all them, just want to drag and drop them in the order I want to execute them. Putting this feature on my wishlist for christmas. It feels like it's getting slower and slower (PC version). I've also had to disable the Firefox Evernote Clipper too. And I'm still waiting for the colour palette to be restored to being able to choose any colour or at a minimum a hex code. Currently, to get a colour that's not available in the palette I have to go to an older note or another source such as Word, copy a few characters that are in the colour I want, paste into the new note, and start typing between the coloured characters to get the colours I want, remembering then to deleted the pasted characters. I also find it annoying that I can't set a global H1, H2 & H3 style.

Marvellous for note taking BUT Issues with task disappearing and filtering persist . As a workaround you should at least give ability to search tasks due for tomorrow,today,overdue etc from main notes search bar

Thanks for the regular updates. I've requested a support reply for my IOS app where I want to sort notes by reminder date and time. I can do so easily on my Mac however not so on my IOS. I've set by reminder time and looked at filter notes however don't seem to find the same option. Can you please advise . Thank you

When evernote open on a browser, session restart and is necessary to login again, time ago remain 30 days connected, this message disappear. When will the issue of searching note content not jumping to the desired information be fixed? This is especially problematic on the mobile version. Every time I search for the content I need in my notes, it doesn’t jump to the specific keyword, making it very troublesome to locate the information. However, this functionality worked very well in earlier versions. Thanks

For the love of all that is good and holy, when will you allow an option disable the grey "|Press "/" to insert and element..." text. It could not be more of a distraction, an eyesore, and an OCD trigger that sometimes even throws me off my train of thought before I get down what I was going to type. It sends off little explosions of rage in my amygdala EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT.

I've been an Evernote user for over a decade. All I ask is for Evernote to prioritize its core function: providing seamless note-taking across all devices. The app has become bloated with unnecessary features, making it slow and cumbersome. I'd love to see a lightweight version that focuses on the basics. YES, YES, YES!!! Absolutely! I reiterate ... just need a good, simple note taking app which synchs across my devices. Do not need Evernote Tasks; do not need Workflow; do not need Audio Transcription stuff; do not need any sort of integration with Outlook or any other MS Office app, ditto for any Mac or iThing app; and especially DO NOT NEED the absurd annual subscription charges you have evolved to. I need an Evernote Basic, if you will, with just the basics in it! I don't mind paying an annual fee ... but it needs to be a lot less than your current annual charge which you apparently believe is warranted for building the Superman-Do-Everything-For-Everybody Evernote you seem to be aiming at. Just please spare me all that bullshit!!!

I love the fact that Evernote is constantly updated . However, I've been using Evernote since 2010 & can't even get a response by submitting feedback regarding the following: Every time I create a new note the default font is “15”. Can you please make the default font a user preference? In other words, I would like to be able to set my preference so that every time I create a new note, the note begins with a font of “20”. Is this something I am overlooking or is it too hard to implement?

I've felt recently that the search, which was, in my view, Evernote's differentiator, is not so good, sometimes I try to find a term and either I can't find it or it takes a long time. I've been a user for some time, let's say that from what I saw there my first note was on 10/20/2012 at 04:21 pm. I was making meat and potatoes. 2. The videos about the updates are helpful, thank you for these. The updates themselves are not my favourites. I have been working with Evernote for almost 15 years now - and my account has become quite big and is my central memory for a lot of stuff. But I am not happy with the current version. It is awfully slow (especially on my Windows-Notebook). The older versions performed much better. And there are some bugs included (e.g. sometimes notes show up with content of other notes, in the note list sometimes several titles are mixed up in one line). I suggest you to work on the real problems and not on the smallest details. And for me it is not possible to remember e.g. the ways to enter different text, especially as almost every app has different ways to do it. I am missing standard shortcuts as F4 for search. And yes, I have sent these items as feedback to Evernote - with no response. As my conclusion I have started to look for an alternative app.

What happened with importing? In the last 2-3 weeks, everything imported from Foxit gets labeled "(Imported) file name note111124" and Evernot creates a separate folder for each document. Please tell me it is a setting I can reverse.

The latest release is a pain in the ass. The application has to reinstall every time I restart my computer, and it is a new machine. Editing within notes is not as efficient as it was before. The only improvement in my experience is the interface and page formatting.

Guys, I am having major issues with the audio transcription. I am on iOS and MacOS platform, everything perfectly and regularly updated. The AI audio transcription hasn’t been working AT ALL for the last few weeks. Huge waste of time for me, as I am writing a book and the ability to quickly and accurately transcribing audio notes was crucial for accepting the major fee increase. And strong doubts about the opportunity to stick with EN personally, after many years of loyalty. No satisfying answers from the EN support so far.

Writer and iOS user here, same problem with audio transcription. My fix: Sync after every recording, back out of the note, reopen note, then transcribe… works every time.

Enjoying the app, love your updates! Thank you for your work. Dear team, Please consider a ribbon for quick commands / quick pick for preferable editing tools. For example, a particular font-color or exact font-size, some other formatting, etc. 4-6 manually assignable options with corresponding hot keys will make huge difference. It will be good to have them visible on the note screen all the time (top of a note somewhere, whatever). So users can define most used options (it’s like having blue and red market next to you when you work on something). Thanks.

You add too many Unnecessary Features and then CHARGE A LOT for subscription. It is a kind of dishonesty. Very disappointed. Eventually you are going to make it as "powerful" (i.e. full of unused garbage functions) and charge as much as MS Office.

Performance is still horrible. Absolutely terrible. Creating a new note is very slow. Deleting a note is also very slow. You also should be aware that your newest implementations are dismantling things that long existed. Just to name a few : - Where's F2 : Edit Title ? This KB Short Cut was very, very handy. You did something that it disappeared altogether. - When we do a Screen Clip into Evernote, action which I do very often, it no longer allows me to "Copy" from inside EN to somewhere else. Mouse Right Button/Copy is greyed. Very likely this got messed up after you implemented image Transcribe. Forget the flatterers. Glad you have them. But performance is sill a very, very serious issue. During times where IA is creating PowerPoint presentations already, who would like a note taking app that is even slow to open/edit ? It should have a superb performance in order to be useful. EN is a note taking app, not the main one. I'd expect/accept my Excel to be slow cause it does a lot of stuff/calculations/etc, but not my note taking app. Legacy version, yet so old was times and times faster than this one. How I LOVED Legacy ! How PRACTICAL/HANDY/FAST and USEFUL it WAS ! With Legacy my Inbox was always clean & organized cause it was fast. Just a few keystrokes (no mouse needed) and I was done. Now my Inbox is packed with more than 300 notes. Can't spend so much time waiting for EN's slowness to organized them. Either way, I still like EN. Just keep my notes there waiting for a huge performance improvement (or an alternative product).

I was a first-time Evernote user many years ago. But some years ago, I quit for many reasons, mainly because the app didn’t sync properly with my three iOS devices. Then, recently, I listened to the Vergecast about Evernote > kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3ionYd9pLOSotEsi=Jzi5Mx8lXDYy8fzp . There, I learnt about the company change. So, I gave Evernote another try. And, yes, the new company is doing great with Evernote. They don’t move Evernote to something completely different; they just make Evernote as smooth as it was. My love for Evernote has returned.
