The HEC-RAS "Known Issues" page (www.hec.usace.army.mil/confluence/rasdocs) includes a workaround for the frozen initializing input bar at 10:50. "Sometimes the 3D Viewer splash screen will be stuck on "Initializing Input". To make this not happen, make sure the splash screen has focus from Windows before it reaches "Initializing Input". You can give the window focus by clicking on it."

I wanna know is it possible to apply an ortho texture image into 3d view? and can we also add 3d buildings into the 3d view?

Could you add attribute tables/textbox into the live 3D viewer as you move the camera downstream following the flood?

Hi All.. Is there a limit on the number of bridges RAS 6.0 can handle? I have about 25 bridges and 90+ culverts in my basin and I am dealing with volume and stability issues. Would appreciate any input.

Following. I'm interested in this question.

There isn't a documented limit on number of bridges you can include within a 2D area, however the more bridges you have the more complex the model will be. The more complex the model, the more chances there are for model stability issues/errors. As with any model that is having issues with stability, I recommend that you start with a simpler model and slowly add complexity. In this case that will mean removing all the bridges from your model and then adding them in one at a time, running your model in between each addition. After each completed simulation review your results to see if you can identify any of those same volume/stability issues. If you cant then move onto the next bridge- if you can then you have a culprit to investigate further.

@@TheRASSolution Thanks for your reply. I was reading in the known bugs report that if there are a lot of cells in the bridge opening then the model is not able to distribute flows at higher water surface elevations. I believe that might be the cause for my model. I believe this will be fixed in Beta 3? Is there a timeline for it's release? Thanks.

Please please please answer, Can I use Hec Ras for landslide simulation...
@TheRASSolution5 ай бұрын
Yes and no- there is a non Newtonian fluid option in HEC-RAS, however, you would need to define the size of he landslide (in terms of volume). It would be very tricky but possible.

I wonder if I can use Hec-RAS with ArcMAP 10.7.1?
@ryantroy71713 жыл бұрын
You should be able to do pretty much anything that you need in ArcMap in RasMapper.
