If you have plugins that do all this, why buy this at all? It's just lame marketing. Just a reskin and restructuring existing modules so they can say they added something new while removing functionality in the first place. Leave iZotope for better companies. TBTech or Fabfilter, UrsaDSP, Sound Theory etc. You'll save yourself tons of headaches, tons of money and get an actual customer support.

@@axxojaxx2510 depends on how much you'd use the new features/tools. I took my time upgrading to Ozone 11 for same reason figuring 12 would be out soon enough, but immediately no regrets as found immediate improvements to mixes using the transient/sustain & m/s capabilities especially. then again, that's stuff I wouldn't really grasped or used yet a couple years ago so wouldn't have been worth it back then. but now that've seen some of the dramatic improvements in mixes with that feature alone, the transient/sustain & m/s selling points alone are holding alot more weight.

If you mean Sequoia (OS 15), it is indeed compatible. There was an error on the website earlier but it’s been fixed. It’s supported in the latest 3 major MacOS versions

I was recently able to upgrade my Waves plugins, even though the website says my OS isn't supported; the newest upgrades still install and work perfectly on my system. But if I remember right, I downloaded a demo of the last Ozone and it wasn't installable. Was hoping their software wouldn't forget some of us who bought full bundles.

I really wish Izotope and so many others would slow down their release schedules. I feel like I barely use something before the new version come out. Don't need new versions of everything every single year. I need to get my moneys worth out of it. Plus I feel like if tech companies would wait longer between releases than when new stuff did drop it would be way more impressive.

I think they are one of the companies trying to really drag people into the subscription model. Don't get me wrong, I use iZotope products daily, but they know how to either a. split what could be one plugin into multiple plugins b. delay feature additions to create new generations of the same plug c. just redesign UI to justify a new plugin gen

Hmmm… I don’t use 4 that much other than for Transient Shaper (for which the new m/s feature does look great), but the Transient-Sustain capabilities in Ozone 11 won me over… might have to go for this upgrade simply for that alone. Phase surely a gem too.

@ nope. The Stabilizer module in Ozone 11 sorta essentially is geared for the same purpose as Gulfoss and has its time & place, though wouldn’t say it’s good enough to replace it entirely. And Neutron’s tools are different altogether… the Sculptor module might be somewhat similar, perhaps, though would not at all expect the same results between the two.

I've had NI/Izotope figured out on this point for several years now. I know when there's a big sale push that strays from the regular sale schedule...that usually means they're about to drop something new. So if you're 1 version behind watch out....because you're about to update and immediately be 1 version behind again lol. It is a pretty low down sneaky business practice, but apparently they've found it makes them more money than it loses...so they keep doing it lol.

It seems nobody is aware this was always possible in previous versions of Neutron's Dynamics module. Just google "neutron upward compression". It was always one of the best upward compressors I've used due to the UI... the UI hasn't changed much in density either so it's all good.

Minimum Mac OS 13.6..... So bad... My MacBook can update to Mac OS 11 maximum. Lot of developpers make plugins with old Mac OS compatible (like 10.9 minimum) Maybe it's not possible with plugins like this, I don't know, but it's really frustrating...

Correct me if I'm wrong but Neutron is not really a mixing aid. I think the promo is misleading here. Neutron just “beautifies” individual tracks but doesn't really mix them. Mixing is combining a multitude of tracks so they optimally blend. And this is not happening with this plugin. The closest it gets to proper mixing is the masking eq feature which is really useful, yet it can only juxtapose two tracks at a time. Other EQs do that too. Neutron is not in any way mixing the whole sum of the tracks in the mix and that's puzzling.

And still no hold function and look ahead in the compressor (who doesn't love those clicking side chains?) and the eq filters with 18db per octave? Actions history is also buggy since neutron 1...it does not capture actions if you change eq frequency by typing instead of changing it with the mouse.Reported this to customer service and it was like talking to a child. Was able to do a quick demo, and already found problems, compressor lost resolution in the attack :before you could go up or down by increments of 0.1, now you can only do increments of 1 😱. Swapped a few neutron 4 to neutron 5 modules and big increase on cpu and slow as FUDGE, almost can't do anything.changing to fab filter 🤦‍♂

Yeah this is THE premier mixing suite. Nobody comes close to what iZotope does. Some could say Sonible, and I'd almost agree, but Sonible doesn't have a mothership like Neutron, which is a game-changer. TLDR: Neutron 5 is a cutting-edge flagship mixing suite.
