To be honest as a resident, we need more stuff to do up here. Like a similar market commons area, we need an actual gym here, ALOT are outdated. We really should have a boardwalk here, idk why no one pushes for it. This area has soooooo much potential. Not all of us want to go to bars & get drunk. Traffic is good awful here. Only 1 Walmart.

The old Food Lion down on 9 was rumored to become a Planet Fitness. A boardwalk this far north on the Strand probably wouldn’t hold up to the hurricane activity due to the storm surge on this end. But I agree, we need more to do in this end. Edit: and yes the traffic has multiplied by 10 fold over the last few years.😮

such a beautiful drive on this morning in NMB, can't wait to get back there in mid aug for the family vacation/visit. Can't believe we have been coming to cherry grove since 2005, coming from the north its a long drive, but so worth it. i usually watch your videos on my computer or tablet. having these videos thru the year makes it not seem so long between visits. can remember our first trip to cherry grove/NMB. used to going to ocean city maryland, with it being so crowded, and not always co clean. we were shocked, and have never looked back. it was this area from then on. can't thank a good friend of mine enough for suggesting it. its just so relaxing, laid back, not crazy busy, or noisy, everyone is so nice and friendly, always have been, and we have gotten to know some really nice folks, and became friends over the years. i have read that NMB is similar to surfside and south end of MB as well, one bad thing about NMB is the flooding.

That's great! Yes you're right it is somewhat similar to Surfside and Garden City, although I would say Garden City is probably a little slower even still, but also it floods as well sadly.

We’re coming in July and staying in north Myrtle beach at a Wyndham hotel on ocean blvd! We’ve stayed before at the breakers which I loved and coral beach resorts which was nice as well! I want to move down there SO bad! One of these days I will!

My mom and dad decided in 1968 to start staying in cherry grove area and back then is was mostly houses and a couple of small motels and we enjoyed going back down to Ocean drive to the arcades in the evenings. we last stayed in this are in 1972. the next year to litchfield and since then garden city. im glad because this north mytle beach area has grown up too much now. thanks for the video. really nice!! thanks Larry

Hey yall, We are coming to NMB around the middle of April! We have timeshare at The Maritime! I do love North Myrtle. It does have a calm vibe for sure. But I do love staying in Myrtle beach proper too. We ate looking forward to coming for our week. Any time the beach is the best time! I watch on my phone.. 😊💖

We’re heading there in September for our annual vacation to MB. We always stay oceanfront between the 2 piers and take advantage of the lower off-season hotel rates and quieter time to go. We also vacation around the bike weeks for obvious reasons. We shark tooth hunt daily, visit Georgetown, Pawley’s Island and usually add somewhere new to scope out. We’d love to make this area our permanent home some sweet day! We love your videos (my husband now watches too) - it makes us feel like we’re there and not in snowy Ohio.

We usually stay in North Myrtle mostly for the reasons you mentioned. But we do spend a lot of time in MB. We’re beach lovers obviously and we always rent a condo at the same low rise on the Windy Hill area except the very first time were we stayed in Cherry Grove (not a fan of the big tower resort). We always go early July (love the fireworks beach party on July First.) this year will be our 20th vacation in NMB. Started when our 4 kids were 4-7and 8 and for the last three stays we’ve come me and the trophy wife with one of our sons his wife and our two grandkids. I’ve watched (almost) all your videos there are others but you guys are top of my list. Every year I look forward to our two weeks vacation in NMB and MB so I like watching your videos. Anticipation is part of the fun of travelling.

My wife and I enjoy watching together on our TV. However when I make comments, I use my phone. We've stayed in North Myrtle Beach once and that was The Beach Cove Resort which was very nice. Our favorite place in NMB is Barefoot Landing.

That theater isn’t gonna be on Main Street proper just so y’all know. The address is on Main Street proper are 200 numbers. You know like 212 221 that type of thing. 701 is right across from where the old Bailo used to be for those of y’all who know the area. It’s right next to Kroger.

Have they started building the Hampton Inn by the Pier yet? Just curious as i usually get down there in the Fall and we stay at the Prince resort tower 2. once the hampton is built probably will probably stay in tower 1 as it's going to affect the ocean view from tower 2.

We mention in the video that we have never stayed in a North Myrtle Beach hotel. The only hotels we've stayed in over the years were in Myrtle Beach and even then it's only 3 because we've either had a vacation home here or now live here. Glad you enjoy the videos!

99% of the time I watch on my phone, I get notifications when you post new videos. I haven't been to North Myrtle since 2018 when I went kayaking, launched from the Cherry Grove Boat Landing as part of a group tour. Last April I was purging my bedroom and rediscovered a ring I bought at a jewelry shop at Barefoot Landing in August 2003. I wore that ring from then til 2009-ish, and had not worn it since then. Now I've worn that ring every day since last April. 🎉

I enjoy your videos, but I have a suggestion I wish you would follow. Here goes. I know North Myrtle is it's own municipality, but for many of your viewers (myself included)it might serve us all well if you could break down the different segments of the town. Windy Hill, Atlantic Beach, Cresent Beach, Ocean Drive and Cherry Grove are all different places within the same city. I guess I'm just an old fart that can't think in terms of street addresses, but they get me lost if that's all I hear.
