Cool, but sadly i cant get this working on my DL380 Gen8 or Primergy RX300 S7 Servers. Sometimes theres no bootable media after a finished installation or not booting properly or no web interface. Tried for like 100 times now and with the exact same configuration, even the drive i use to boot the installer is the same, the older 6.4 version installs itself without any problem and boots itself up as it should. Weird :S

I booted nethserver vm and it froze, then brought down proxmox itself so I had to reboot and remove nethserver vm. I can repeat this and it freezes both every time

That's kind of strange, as there are a bunch of folks (including myself) running several instances of Nethserver under Proxmox--though probably not under PVE7 yet.

@@danbrown586 I just pressed ok and yes under installation of Nethserver. So I think I did something wrong somewhere. I have just a few hours playing with proxmox so I´m new. However I find it strange that a crashed VM should also crash proxmox. Everything froze & were unresponsive. Only a hard reboot could fix it. That I find strange

Checksum filesystem. It’s like zfs sort of and has similar features.

@@uweburger sadly but almost none of exists... it has no problems with licensing, but parity like raidz could lost some data due to power failure, has no draid, iirc can't use nvme ssd as LOG device or cash storage, often have a problem with booting if one of two devices in raid1 root pool failured (so maybe using 3 wide raid1 is a good idea)

Still using a graphical install for a server OS. Not very smart. And the Debian shoehorn method is no solution.

What are your problems with a. The grapical installer? b. Why is the debian install not a solution? You could automate the debian installer any way you like. I am really interested where you perceive problems with this solutions.

@@uweburger Well, for an OS that does nothing but sit at a login prompt, why use a graphical install? Some graphic cards are incompatible with the graphical modes supported by the installer, and the Debian install route is a considerable amount more work. Why not just make a text mode installer that will work on any system even those with serial consoles?

@@BandanazX The Nummer of modern Board that have trouble with the graphical installer should be quite small, the only one i can think of right now are serial only like pcengines apu, just use debian installer for these. If you do a single install the debian installer Overheadprojektor should not matter much, if you do lots of installs you might want to automate anyway with fai or someting else.

Hi, no problem, if you don't understand it well, you can use the subtitles (cc). You can then even have it translated easily into many languages without any problems. Because it is a computer voice.

I would agree on prinzipiell, but have been using proxmox since Version 1 over 10 years ago, give it a try. As someone who does not like the sound of his own voice that much i think they are a bit afraid of their austrian accent when talking english.
