Streamlit 1.18 is one the biggest Streamlit releases in terms of features. And then Streamlit 1.19 was released with another banger feature! XD it's hard to keep track of all the features, here's your 2 minutes video of all the features.
And then I go on a ramble about...I don't know...the downs as a content creator, ChatGPT on KZbin and the future of my channel.

Thank you, appreciate it "aesthetically" is not an adjective I see every day in my data works, I'm going to write this down and read it before creating future videos Have a nice day!

great video! I love your style - there are a million no-face coding tutorials I could look up for everything I'd ever need but very little content like yours so keep it up! I like these because they're right on time with relevant updates to the platforms I use - the new caching system is actually something I immediately used on release for a search query

Hi Fanilo, thanks for your inspirational videos. Your videos have inspired me to make a data anaysis app for my company using Streamlit. Its quite a big jump for me since I am a Mechanical engineer trying to break into Data Science. Thanks for making it possible. Looking forward to your future videos.

Thanks for the support I’m wondering if I should do a « Python / Streamlit for true beginners » long tutorial / course, so if you have pain points, things you struggle on, feel free to share here or by mail 🙂 have a nice day!

@andfanilo

one of the best channels out! appreciate you!. Do you know if theres a way to leverage a cloud gpu or virtual machine like a ec2 instance to allow your users to run machine learning task from a supercharged gpu ?
@andfanilo
@andfanilo Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support, much appreciated :) I haven't tried on an EC2 instance but hosting your Streamlit app in an EC2 with GPU should theoritically do the trick yeah. Or an easier way that I actually did test recently is hosting your app on Huggingface Spaces (huggingface.co/spaces) and upgrading your Spaces hardware to one of the stronger GPU. Super easy to setup and pause when needed ;)

@@andfanilo thanks for the timely response! and you can host your streamlit app in a huggingface space? will it have the same streamlit front end?
@andfanilo
@andfanilo Жыл бұрын
(Doc: huggingface.co/docs/hub/spaces-sdks-streamlit) yes, it is embedding the Streamlit app in a space the same way Streamit Cloud does...in a little different way but the same frontend is to be expected! Like, here's an example (without GPU): huggingface.co/spaces/giswqs/Streamlit

Hi, I really like your tutorials and posts on the forum. Can you make out in one of the following videos the topic of adding a lottie animation to the application as a background? I found quite a lot of interesting animations in the form of blurry animated gradients, but I do not understand how they can be used. It would be interesting to consider this topic, you can think of many ways to personalize applications. Thank you for all that you are doing!

Hello! Ohh, animated abstract blurry backgrounds, interesting. Really, there are Lotties for that? I'd rather look into animated CSS background instead, I'll have a look Have a nice day!

Fanilo help! I remember one of your “epic” videos went through like 100 3rd party components. There was one which was a nice UI for a ebook or storytelling pages. Now I can’t find your video or the widget on streamlit. is your video still up?
@andfanilo

Hey! This video is in my todo list but I don't recall having made such a video...or maybe it's one of my shorter Instagram reels if you follow me since there Perhaps are you talking about github.com/sebastiandres/streamlit_book ? Or with a bit of luck you can find it here: components.streamlit.app/ Hope you'll find it, because now I'm a bit intrigued by which component you're talking about!
@RedCloudServices
@RedCloudServices Жыл бұрын
@@andfanilo no it was a long youtube video talking fast going through many 3rd party components. Ugh. It was a “Table of Contents” component to take users through an online book. I like Pyvizzu for my use case but seems too light on the body text mostly just title for each chart. I need to create an interactive book with streamlit 🤔

With the changes to st.columns, are the height of the columns the same?
@andfanilo
@andfanilo Жыл бұрын
Hello. They should but I haven’t tested that extensively. I especially don’t know how the nested columns behave on mobile. Is there something you fear for your app?

I think the biggest release for Streamlit will be the ability to customize the UI. From my point of view it is the Achilles heel of this incredible framework.
