VC may be my favorite NI instrument of them all. Brilliant and innovative, importing samples takes it to the next level of creative possibilities. I hope NI continues to develop this incredible instrument. BTW, NI, with such comprehensive sound shaping possibilities on tap, an in depth step by step video tutorial would be welcome.

Uh, except, there are many new plugins that never enter a Komplete bundle though they are built for NKS and actively co-marketed by NI. I'd say at this stage, there are more great NKS-compatible plugins outside the Komplete library rather than in. Plus, as I'm sure you've experienced... "Komplete upgrades are like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get." You have all the way to Jan. 15 to decide to grab it for the discounted price or delay until June/July, during which time, if not included in a Komplete bundle, it'll at least be discounted again. As for me, I'll jump before Christmas, as I have songs in the works that will use a VERY light touch of Vocal Colors around the edges. By the time you jump in middle of next year, it will be so over-used that it will have probably lost its appeal to many.

Wow! Step back!, all other vocal effects plugins - there's a new sheriff in town! But I'll still get great use out of those from Antares, iZotope, Polyverse, Sound Particles, and others. While each of them brings their own distinct flavor and workflow, I feel Vocal Colors has raised the bar. And that's a good thing - innovation and competition keep the ball moving forward, and we all benefit.

Integrating user samples does not work ! Have tried importing wav/aif samples into VC loaded in Kontakt 7, Komplete Kontrol and Maschine. Epic fail 🙁

I would love to be able to load a kit in maschine studio and just lock in a sound, then load another kit in the same group but the lock sounds don’t get replaced. So essentially a lock feature. I have to load another group to look at other kits then copy and paste a sound over into the original group. Only downside to this is it overrides any routing into my other daw I.e Logic Pro.

NI R&D team what do you think and Maschine users? Maschine Software 3.0 .MP3 support .SF2 support audio tracks unlimited, stem separation. What NI should do is bring back their whole line of Maschine products like they had in the past this is why Akai is winning or is ahead of the game. Maschine studio Plus give it dual flip up touch screens (nice to have that option but still have all the buttons as usual) where you can flip up the screens individually or one long screen that flips up like on their S series controllers, 8 outs 2 xlr combo inputs with 48v phantom power for condenser mics 4 1/4 inch inputs, phono inputs, CV outs 8. Stem separation, full intergration of certain Komplete and Isotope instruments, with sound design capabilities, all the things the current Maschine has, MP3 support .SF2 support, 10 audio tracks, vocal suite, internal HDD front SD card slot, 4 midi puts 2 midi inputs, 16gb Ram. I bought Vocal Colors yesterday and wanted to test the function by dropping an audio file into the plug-in as shown , but it does not accept either wav or mp3. I do exactly as you show in the instructional video but nah... doesn't work. Have a PC with win 10, Cubase 12 and 13 Anyone have a solution?

Hi! It sounds like Cubase is blocking the samples import into Vocal Colors. Can you please drag a sample into an empty track on Cubase instead of Vocal Colors? You should receive a prompt in Cubase. Please check "Don't ask again" and "OK". After that, close Cubase, reopen it, and try again. Let us know if this resolves the issue!

I'm having the same issue using Studio one. Dragged the file onto an empty layer ( did not get a dialog prompt ) and still am unable to add a file as shown in this video. @@NativeInstruments

@@RJEnriquez This was not a criticism of NI but towards poor singers who take shortcuts to embellish their mediocre performances. Logically, NI has to keep up with the times and instead of creating useful tools for creativity, it is now forced to create absurd plugins for fake musicians.

I see this as more of a synth - something for crafting motion in pads, soundscapes, and layers for electronic tracks. To me, it's more of a creative effect as well. Not for vocal/vocalists in the traditional sense @@halgecko3856
