Yeah, me too! I've been playing on and off for 20 years with a regular amp and an old multi fx pedal so upgrading to this has been kinda difficult but much worthy since I'm now not limited to combining 2, 3 effects and the amp sound.

I more or less researched different multiFX pedals between around 300 and 500 USD. My budget was rather closer to 300 but I was more or less willing to bleed the 500 if "needed". The local guitar shop put the MG30 on discount and that was what tipped the scale. I'm very happy with it. It's so easy to use, it sounds really good (especially for amateur needs at home). If I had to complain about something it would mainly be two things: I could use a fourth button (ok, they included 2 additional with the footswitch, true, I still need to incorporate it, but somehow, it would be great to have that 4th one by default) and the looper could record more than 1 minute and it would be great to have at least 5 memories you can then export (I understand they probably didn't do it to keep sales on their dedicated looper pedals such as the NUX Loop Core Stereo, but it would be great to have similar, though limited, capabilities). So, it would be awesome if they improved that looper a bit with that in the V6. Still, I love the MG30, it's big bang for the money.

So I just found this update and something i asked for a long time ago and im so appreciative that is here, the only thing i can ask for now is the ability to put anything anywhere including the cab separately from the amp as well as put any effect we want into the 2 parallel effect chains with mix sliders and gain/trim for each one(im trying to make a gated reverb)

Очень круто. Ждал обновления . Наконец то есть возможность смены усилителя сценами !!! Наконец то есть возможность увидеть уровень входного сигнала а не выслушиваться на чистых усилителях "пердит оно из за клиппинга или так и должно быть" Есть пожелания на будущее. 1 Добавьте педалей для бас гитары для поп музыки типо синтетических басов и искажений типо пила. 2 Сделайте возможность разделить сигналы левого и правого канала на выходе один с эмуляцией кабинета а другой нет. У нас по прежнему на сцене приходиться мониториться по старинке в гитарные кабинеты.

Ужас какой,это же где ещё такой архаизм в виде (мониторинга через кабинеты осталось?),Сейчас на любой нормальной площадке уже и не встреть кабинетов и прочего архаизма,инструменты в строгом панарамировании через DI , если концерты знаменитостей по типу метлы или рамов смотреть,на сцене вы уже как много лет ни одного кабинета не увидите.

Great information, thank you. Could I ask one favour for the next video you make? Please switch off the auto-focus of the camera you have facing the MG-30. That will stop that annoying effect of in and out of focus when your hand is in shot.

Great video! Super informative but the autofocus hunting on the camera ruined the b-roll shots. Use manual focus so the camera doesn't hunt or focus to your hand when adjusting the knobs

The Pro Scenes is a great addition. I've been struggling a bit with the gap when changing from one preset to another. Just like you, sometimes I need a nice clean tone and then switch to a heavy tone. For example when playing Metallica's One, switching from the clean verse tone to the heavy chorus one never happened without a big hickup. I haven't yet updated the firmware but I'm really looking forward to it so I can have both tones in one preset. Any recommendations regarding existing presets before and after update apart from normal backup?

Unfortunately, I was forced to sell my MG30 although i was very happy with the sound. Here are the reasons: - No Global Tap Tempo : Tempo changes everytime you change a patch. As a session musician, I always play different gigs covering different styles. At some gigs, I play with a backround music from a laptop on stage. It is a pain to tap the tempo again and again. - Footswitch Flexibility : There are 5 footswitches with the expansion pedal but you can practically use 3 of them. Up and down switches can not be set for a different function. Boss GT1 also allows this which is a piece of crap pedal in my opinion. Also Headrush MX5 offers very good footswitch assignments. I am not an electrical engineer but I believe I don't expect so much. Other brands can offer this things why can't Nux? MG30 is a very good platform which deserves better. I miss my pedal.😢 😂

Hi, first of all thanks for this great tutorial, I recently bought this machine and I would like to know what criteria you used to set the 4 sounds present in each patch. Let me explain, each patch contains 4 presets (01A, 02A, 03A, 04A) and I wonder if there is a criterion or not. For example if each patch contains a Clean sound, a Crunch, a Distorted and a Lead or if the assignment of the four sounds under the same Patch is completely random, thanks in advance for your answer!

I'd not sure you can do that. Rather, simply adjust the factory presets the way you want and the save it.

@@iagobroxado thanks for replying. I’ve always found it that these sort of multi fx pedals come with sooooo many presets. Also I assume you can’t add more banks than are in there right? In my opinion they could probably get away with putting 15-20 presets in there to give people an idea and leave the others blank for you to start from scratch and name them, or upload new ones. Not a biggie, just find it curious that they’re always completely full. Thanks again.

The global input trim/EQ doesn't change anything except the output(?),is the new screen input display buggy? I have everything off & going straight in with a pretty low output Fender JM. Doesn't show as a clip, but very close either pegged or all off (trim, low/mid high EQ) ... what am i doing wrong here, ugh.

I think the input meter function idea is awesome. But I have a problem, my signal shows it's clipping and I changed the input level to correct it, but altought I can hear a difference, the input meter apears to not be affected by the input trim. Is that normal?

great when / if it works...just got one a few days ago and the input no longer works..tried 2 cables + the one included on 2 different guitars and it's completely dead. Everything else works, usb interface mode, drum machine, aux..just filled out the return form with the seller..I would like to get another unit but i'm afraid there's a lack of reliability with them so I don't wanna get another defective unit..

ISSUES: 1. You still can't access the tuner from the return input. I use my amps input, and MG-30 in the amp's FX loop so I can't use the tuner. If nothing is plugged into the MG-30 input then the tuner should be accessible through the return input. 2. Once again, the overload meter only works on the input, not the return input. Actually there should be overload indicators for all inputs and outputs.

Something that nobody clarifies: Can you have the 3 scenes with the same amp and cabinet but vary the gain, bass and treble levels between each of them? And the same with the delay, should each scene have a different setting? Or can you just turn the effects on and off without altering their settings?

I just got my mg 30 today but I'm having audio issues while using usb audio. I connected it using usb to my laptop. The global output mode is in Studio. I've installed everything necessary. I open quicktone but there's no sound in quicktone even when playing the drum machine. The input signal is definitely there. The indicator shows signal but there's no sound on the laptop. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to connect output separately while using usb too? I can hear the sound while connecting headphone. I wonder if it's because of the default audio driver and nux audio driver. I've tried disabling and enabling all those drivers one by one but still not solved. Please help me solve this problem.

When I connect the MG-30 to an audio interface with a Hi-Z input, the signal clips even at almost 0 pre-amp volume on the interface. My guitar has passive pickups. Is there a way to fix this on the MG-30?

You should only connect a guitar on an hi-z input , you should connect your nux mg30 to line input and not in hi-z
