Thank God for the clouds the last couple of days. It has been brutal. I look forward to being at the beach to escape the torturous heat of Charlotte where I am from. It hasn’t been much better lately.

As always Carmen your videos are enjoyable and super informative for people new to the myrtle beach area. Heck I've been coming since the 60s and I learn something everytime for sure in your videos. Thanks for the video. I just learned on internet last night that August 8th might be a Surfside Beach pier announcement. But no businesses approved yet so Christmas is my prediction. Maybe next summer for businesses . What a well planned opening it has been!!! Larry

Be back for October and part of November. Best time of year for me, less traffic and no wait times at most restaurants. Sea Captain’s House is the best. We stay at the south end 25 south, hope to see on the beach. Be safe

Myrtle Beach is alway's making and remaking itself.I'm really surprised that they demolished Nathans.I was at the original Nathan's hotdogs at Coney Island NYC last year which is a landmark there.Peaches nearby in Myrtle Beach has really good hotdogs though,hopefully it's still there.

There's also bathrooms under the skywheel. Off season is our favorite time, but we will be reconsidering now they charge pay for parking all year. Shame businesses lose money so the city can profit.

Great job biking, filming and talking all at the same time! Do you happen to know about how many miles that bike lane goes? I don't normally ride on roads, but have been doing bike lanes lately and they're not too bad...I wouldn't mind biking that whole section on my next trip!

It depends on how far you go. We usually bike from Nash Street to 82nd and then back again. It's just under 10 miles one way, and the round trip is just under 20 miles. However, there is a small section, where the cabanas are, that doesn't have a bike lane, but it's wide without a lot of traffic. Also, you don't have to bike that far unless you just want to.

If you are on vacation, try to stay within walking distance of the beach. Whatever money you save by staying inland would be negated by paying for parking at the beach.

I have mentioned "Myrtle Fries" (red and white striped )across the street from "Mr Fries, so once again you skipped over it and pointed out the younger of the two separate french fry makers. Myrtle Fries is almost as old as Peaches Corner whereas "Mr Fries" is only a few years old. Thanks for trying!

I usually go during the tourist season, and I like the excitement and the feel of it… But I have been during the off-season, and it is much better with traffic and crowds. So I definitely prefer the off-season better.
