Hi, thanks for the question. I really should have been more clear. There's absolutely no need to have a license plate in the USA. No registration, inspection, tabs, or insurance required here where I live. It was just a 3d printed novelty plate that a friend made for me.

minute 21:53 at the beginning I also found it annoying that it had a dead zone at the beginning of the throttle, but then I read that it is for safety, and several times it happened to me that I touched my throttle without wanting to and the scooter did not go off without me being on top, and I was grateful for that, today I am very used to it and for me it is a positive thing 👏😎. The tall and wide handlebars are also of my total preference, I feel that I can control it much more, I do not like the narrow handlebars that provide much less stability. About tastes, colors 🤷♂

Couple of things: you don't need to take the locking nut all the way off when folding the handlebars. And you can adjust the suspension. To me the battery level jumping around all over the place is fairly annoying. It really makes me nervous that I don't know how much ride time I have left. It's not a small amount either. There is sadly zero adjustment for the bar height, But this is one of the few scooters that has a standard mountain bike size handlebar mount. You can buy a flat set of handlebars for a mountain bike and stick them on there, that'll take off about 3 or 4 inches.

Do the wheels lock when the scooter is off? In other words do you need the NFC to actually move this scoooter or can someone still just roll it away of they wanted to steal it? I'm sure there are people who know how to hack the system to unlock it.
@GingerOnWheels Жыл бұрын
The NFC key just prevents the scooter from turning on. Someone could still throw it in the back of a truck or walk off with it. It's basically just to prevent someone from hopping on, turning it on, and zipping away

I purchased my Varla Eagle One v2 shortly after this video came out. My steering is not nearly stable enough. I have hit about 40mph on gps. I wont be doing that again unless they make a steering damper. This scooter is not stable at anything over 30. The rear foot plate you mentioned doesn't make any sense. Sacrificing functionality to make it more boxy? Just ridiculous. The name of the scooter is pretty daft too. The v1 and v2 are nothing alike. It makes finding information, parts, etc on the v2 VERY difficult. The acceleration curve is slower than my kid's Razor scooter. And lastly the throttle feels like the cheapest possible option they could find. It's hard to moderate, deadzones, and has been the only part to have broken on my scooter after driving it just shy of 1k miles. Now that I got my gripes out of the way, I LOVE THIS SCOOTER. This thing is a blast for riding around town. I take it on dirt trails, sidewalks, roads, anything. It just powers through it all. The tires and suspension are fantastic. The breaks are easy to work on. the latch is easy to operate and very secure. The display is bright and easy to read during the day. The front light is better than any other I have used. I keep my spare light on a different scooter and ride with just the integrated light at night. The handlebars are nice and wide. Power plugs are positioned in a safe place not to get water in them. Cable management is nice. RFID is INSTANTANIOUS. Easy to navigate the P settings. The kick stand is a beefy boi that feels satisfying putting down. The fenders do an amazing job at keeping me dry through puddles and mud. I feel like the scooter is soooo close to perfect. If they just had better steering dampening, kick plate, throttle, and added blinkers, this would be a 2-2.5k scooter at a $1500 price point. It would be the hottest scooter on the market. But those goofy choices has left this one of the more obscure scooters out there.
@GingerOnWheels7 ай бұрын
The requirement for steering damping is a rider issue, I don't have dampers even on my fastest scooters. Crouch down and lean back with most of your weight over the rear tire. Blinkers would be nice though

They told me the suspension is adjustable. Also the website says 38.58" from deck to handle bar. Are theey just measure to the top of the stem and NOT the handle bars themselves? Are you sure these are as tall as you say? It really sucks that there is no place physically where I can see this scooter to figure this out myself and have to rely on just reviews and take a leap of faith to order something and risk having to lose money returning it.
@GingerOnWheels Жыл бұрын
The suspension is adjustable in that you can use a spanner wrench to adjust the preload. But it's such a negligible amount that it doesn't drastically change the ride feel. I'm 100% sure their website is wrong on the deck bar height though. It's probably measuring to the top of the stem, which is not where you grab onto.
