Agreed. I loved playing support. But this game made SMG the king of everything shorter than sniper ranges and even beat lmgs in mag size, rpm, ads speed, reload speed, movement speed, and ttk even at medium ranges. Lmgs are just worse AR's at best. They suck. Snipers have the game on easymode with massive areas and insane velocity. Support needs a complete rework.

And more weapons in general. Some classes have a lot of weapons while others have... four or six. Barely any pistols or LMG's in the game despite it being confirmed there's a lot of different weapons ready to be released. What's taking them so long on that?

They should really open up the game to user-generated content. Doing everything themselves to guarantee quality / maintain control is admirable, but there's only so much a team of that size can do with a game of such large scope. A community workshop just for maps would be something, barring weapons or other mods. But there are plenty of low maintenance ways to borrow effort from the community: weird examples but bloons TD's challenges are made by the community and curated by devs, and trackmania similarly does their "track of the day" thing to officially highlight and encourage the content they like.

Unfortunately, the "Planetside" gameplay loop has proven time and time again to not capture players for the long run. Sadly, I think it would be a really silly idea for them to try and capture it in their game.

So kinda a game server where everyone can join and move to other servers by simply moving to some other map location. Kinda like 10 servers linked together and played at same time. They would probaly have to make it in a way that server has limited slots depending on location taken...so some maps will end up 50 players vs 150 players defending.

I think the biggest downside to this update was removing the weighted chance for map voting. Back to the same waki, frugis, sandy rotation that was every server before that change. Really love everything else about the update though!

Cautiously interested in the update, and I like the tone of the latest weekly challenges (even if I am miffed at the tank one). That said, I'm hoping that the dev team rolls out gameplay optimization and prestige value-adds sooner rather than later, if only to stabilize the player count and convince people that there's more longevity to look forward to in the game. I loved the medal and dogtag hunting in bf3 & bf4. I wish they would add a similar unlockable system to battlebit. Probably not the most ambitious thing ever, but it would definitely up my motivation to play it more. Also maybe a vehicle customization system + more armed air vehicles?

So, one thing they're _not_ working on right now is... weapons. Which this game desperatly needs in some classes given how there are barely any pistol and LMG varieties in the game. People have been asking for the M60 for a while now, but I saw the devs have like 7 or 8 different weapons overall ready to be released as far back as June. The F2000 and G3 were nice additions, but there's more than enough AR's as is and I'd love to see some more love for Support and sidearms in the game. What's taking them so long? Overall I do like the upgrade, especially the attachment reworks. A lot more weaponss have become playable with the quicker reloads now! Can't wait to see what the November 9 update holds (which is now 2 days overdue, may I add). Cheers!

Yup, that's one of the things I'm waiting for the most too. I think that gameplay and graphics are pretty alright currently, could definitely use better illumination but the thing that kills most the immersion it's the very weak soundscape it has and just makes gun feel lame. If they manage to make it actually sound good that would be huge in making the gameplay feel better.

i o have 1 question about the new game mode. why add 1 new mode from the BF 1. into here when we already have tons of modes and there are 0 supported. for example we have the Infected, Invasion, Gun game... and many more and yet i never saw 1 single official server whit those modes. Its allways the domination, TDM, CTF and Conquest... Why add 1 more mode when only 4 are played and they dont encourage people to play the others? If its already on the game and implemented wouldnt be easier to open 1 server whit those modes ? Or on the end map at least put then on the rotation?

I personally didn't like the new update on the barrels. The heavy barrel with additional damage made the weapons more versatile. Like, you could take the m4 add a heavy barrel and play more like a Marksman now you cant do that anymore. One thing that I'm really looking forward is the sound update this one is gonna be a game changer.

I never used the long/heavy barrel on the FAL (my favorite AR), HOWEVER, the various changes to the other barrels that I did use has left it kind of unusable with huge recoil... Feels the same for the G3a3

yea an attachment nerf is gonna hit ARs pretty hard and swing snipers, DMRs, and SMGs more into the meta for better or for worse. Before it was all about FAL/AK-15 up close or F2000 at range and now more people will be falling back to sniping around the edges if they aren't inclined to pick up a vector, pp2000, or ump

I want new support guns, its really frustrating that the class has only 4 weapons and gives me no motivation to even play the class. It makes no sense why we got an assault rifle and a DMR before LMGs when they're in the files. This should be a priority to me, not remaking maps and not making the attachment system worse.

IMO custom servers have lowered the player-base in smaller regions. In Oceania we have 2 populated servers 1 is custom that limits armour types and you cant use AP mines, Claymores or RPG s

@@MutedR the fact that infantry can take out a tank with RPGs faster than a tank can kill a tank with AP rounds is silly. Every class having c4 makes pushing with tanks impossible and further supports the camping mentality currently at use in the game. The lack of the ability for infantry to build forward resupply and repair stations hurts mixed gameplay. APCs being one hit makes their intended role pointless. (Transporting troops. Who would put 12 guys in a vehicle to drive into enemy infantry that can one hit and kill everybody inside). And the agility of the APC is laughably bad. Blackhawks being one hit from tail rotor makes using them as supporting vehicles difficult and sometimes impossible. And the fact that you can still get one hit sniped as the pilot while moving at speed is silly. Finally the mini guns are just bad. They should at minimum do much more damage to infantry with how inaccurate they are. IRL those mini guns are crazy accurate. Random players being able to hop in vehicles and drive you to your death is obnoxious and hurts the team. Just a few of the bigger issues. If the devs: - only let engineers run vehicle damaging explosives (anti vehicle grenades on all classes is fine) - gave support the ability to make forward repair/rearm stations - introduced damage states for vehicles (hard to 100% kill, but easy to disable - ie the gun, a wheel or track) -- this would greatly encourage vehicles to push with infantry - make tail rotor a damage multiplier, not instant dead on Blackhawk. Helis should always spin out when they reach 0hp. - either increase AP tank shell damage against vehicles, or remove/nerf tandems. I really think tandems should be moved as an attachment to humvees. That would help balance them greatly. This would go a long way to helping the issue.

@@jeffrbake Blackhawk weakspot cant realy be 1 hit. Trust me i tried with M200 many times. It goes down realy fast tho if you shot there with btr ... like it has weakness to aoe damage. Personaly i think they need to give bts some weight and better engines. As if they are shot by another btr they ping all across the map and you can get stuck easy in most recent update with them. But tandems that fly 1km into your face are total cancer i must say. (yeah cheaters)

Probably will get disliked into oblivion but my main problem with the game currently is that at launch, there were loads of VOIP, team coordination, rushing objectives, aggressive gameplay. Now when I return, it’s dead silent with everyone sitting in spawn and rooftops with no care in the world if either team loses the match.

If they want to survive they need to rework their gameplay mechanics and take it back to what it was at the beginning. It was fun with communication and teamplay, but since the game don't support that it just turned into mindless zerg rush from point a - z. The progression system also is bad. should tie the points into winning the game. So far its been opted for Kill farming.

One big problem with recent update is that there is a big rise of cheaters right now. This is on offical servers (cant say for community ones). They are very easy to spot. I did some research tho and they are using *i am not linking you cheat site seriosly* a new cheatpack that autodisables and re-enables cheats every time you join a server. It will shut down easy anti cheat and re-enable it after, tricking the system that its still running in background. So yeah 70 bucks for Esp, aimbot, no recoil and more :P Those stinking cheaters paytowining.

Stopped playing a little while back. Despise most of the maps, hard as hell to find a server in NA that isn't conquest or domination, most gamemodes are not fun and attachments are extremely lackluster

Agree, rush is basically impossible to play except on non-official servers where they do stuff like speed up reloads or make banadges instantly heal you to full. Almost all of the maps feel terrible on conquest and the only opportunity for fun there is getting some buddies and defending some far off forgotten flag to the last man when the zerg finally shows up. Then when someone with 150 ping shows up they can kill you nearly a full second once you dip into cover. That being said 127v127 is where the devs can sweep the lack of polish under the rug, and where most of the remaining players are so it makes sense for them to focus on the content that isnt dead.
