A moral I can see them tackling involving social media, would be knowing the difference between followers and friends. I wonder how many people they have gotten famous through social media or even those who are big fans of those in social media don’t understand that they’re not actually Friends in the same way as an actual friend is. I mean that’s usually the dark story of some stocker. They thought they had some sort of deep connection with some famous person and then when they finally meet them they don’t get the reaction they were expecting.

Well She didn’t do nothing. She helped Zipp, Sunny, Izzy and Hicth escape Zephyr heights. She bonded with the ponies and became friends. She helped Sunny win that dancing game against Alphabittle. And she even helped her friends in that final battle against Sprout by helping Sunny and Izzy get the crystals together. If you think she is useless, don’t think that.🐴🦋💖🎶

Pipp has good potential, but i can easily see her being a vehicle for social media lessons: moderation of screen time, personal and work life balance, using common sense when it comes to trends and following influencers.... online dangers. I can also see her being the lesser flyer of her family. We've seen Scootaloo cope with her own disability, but G4 never rally approached topics like assistance and accommodation. I'd love to see that explored.

If the MLP staff play their cards VERY, VERY carefully they could sensitively and maturely use the character of Pipp to explore the effects of Cancel Culture and Online Groupthink. I do think Pipp had a subtle but well executed character arc throughout the film as evidenced in the final scene: she is seen using her phone to take photos of other ponies and not just of herself (as she did earlier in the film!) proving that being temporarily deprived of her phone (and therefore her influence and status as a ‘social media star’) has made her less self-absorbed and more humble. Hitch had a similar arc through losing his badge!

Cancel culture and its effects were arguably displayed somewhat within the movie itself with how the citizens of Zephyr Heights turned on Pipp when the royals' lie was exposed. Mob mentality and its dangers was also a major theme with Sprout and the citizens of Maretime Bay.

I hope the show goes further into Pipp's life outside of social media, perhaps exploring why she got into it in the first place. I imagine she uses it because she never got the personal validation she needed from her family. Her mother comes across as too invested in her image as queen and Zipp seems to be the black sheep of the family anyways. Maybe Pipp thrives in the spotlight because it's the only place she feels appreciated. Even in the fandom, Pipp seems to be the least popular character. Sunny has protagonist privileges, Hitch has charm and animal magnetism, I don't even have to mention Izzy, and Zipp seems to have inherited the Rainbow Dash fans. Pipp is in desperate need of some endearing and sympathetic characteristics, especially because her social media status will just come across as cringey. Animation takes longer to make than the lifespan of trends so unless the show staff can accurately predict the future, Pipp will just be a perpetual trend-chaser referencing outdated memes which will do her character no service.

She does have at least one likeable quality, she is very encouraging (like helping Sunny with the game). And I’ve that’s what, or more specifically, her cheerfulness is why she’s into social media because she wants to spread positivity. Pipp is currently my favorite out of the 5. I love her confidence and me and my sister agree she’s the most likely to have Deep Insecurities (something like Starlight) and I love characters like that. I agree she could be seeking validation that her family doesn’t give her, though more from Zipp I think, than their mom. She also a bit of a rebel (Zipp’s more of a loner, I think) like how she visited Sunny and Izzy in prison despite her mom telling her not to, and she wasn’t the least bit remorseful for it. Not really rebellious, but she also showed the kingdom Sunny and Izzy without thinking about it. She also seems to be the most selfish out of the 5 and will probably get the slap-in-your-face type lessons.

There’s this MLP fanfic called, “Princess Protips.” After succeeding in bringing back magic to Equestria, Pipp gives Sunnny advice on Internet fame, and parasocial relationships. Pipp talks to Sunny about how others would see her as an icon, a hero, an inspiration, etc., and warns her that not all fans can be her friends. The way this story is written is amazing! Pipp talks to Sunny both as a friend and as someone who has experience in that kind of stuff. If something like that did happen in the upcoming G5 series, Pipp would be my new favorite character.

She did have an impact, she got Queen Haven to save Alphabittle. Which was one of the low key important events of the climax. It was the pegasus leader saving the unicorn ringleader, and that was an important thing which helped get the two groups to trust each other. It might not have happened without Pipp shouting in concern about Alphabittle. Pipp was her strongest in low-key moments where the spotlight wasn't on her, but she still influenced others, and I think that could say a lot about where her character growth in the series can be focused-learning to be an influencer without needing all the fame and attention.

I could see Pip being inspired to go on adventures with her newfound Non-Pegasus friends. Digitally chronicling their journeys outside the borders of Zephyr Heights, showing her fans there's a whole WORLD out there to experience. Also, inadvertently she becomes the one to document the Five's growing friendship with all it's trials, and hardships along side the joys and excitement. Possibly wrapping up each adventure with a summary of observations and conclusions to her fanbase in a way that could be a blog-ish version of Twilight's friendship letters.

Without Pipp´s presence in the movie, stealing the crown with the pegasus crystal would have being IMPOSSIBLE (at least without the use of violence/poison). Queen Haven was adamant on never taking out her crown, she was also protected by her dog & determined to not listening to either the "spies" or even hear her own daughter´s pleads about discussing "magic". Then, it was Pipp who noticed the pegasus crystal falling from the earth pony (Sunny)´s satchel [from her advantageous point of view (hanging in place), she probably also noticed when Zipp discretely took it from the ground next to Hitch]. Not only Pipp managed to "track" the group into the dark corners of a random street alley, but she also knew of a "safe way" to escape from Zephyr Heights at night without being detected. Princess Pipp Petals is a BARD. She can give "inspiration" to others, boosting any kind of "performance" abilities on her party. Without her "boost", Sunny would have lost the pegasus crystal, then forcing the group to steal both ( something that may have worked anyways with Hitch´s "Jinxes" stunt_spells ), but that would also make Alphabittle´s demands over both crystals much more justified [not having a "rational argument" with Queen Haven, but rather going on the ofensive]. Finally... Alphabittle & the 3 armadillos would be DEAD without her timely warning prompting Queen Haven to save them from Sprout´s robot going backwards. Without Alphabittle representing the "leadership" of the unicorns, magic would had not returned and a proper "hot race war" between earth ponies & unicorns would have started (since he was the "defacto ruler" of unicorns, it would be "magnicide"); as it was commited by the "Emperor" & "stallion_in_chief" of earth ponies, using a war machine (after explicitly refusing to acknowledge their "surrender"). -> Given that (technically speaking) the _"unicorns also brought the pegasi with them"_ into the territory of Maretime bay, the "Prophecy" of Sprout would have being fullfilled [making all pegasi also enemies].

Except the reason the crystal fell was because the story needed a reason for her to join them and be important. Losing it had no effect on the plot since she gave it to them in the very next scene. If she weren’t in the movie they probably just wouldn’t have had that happen. What I would have liked which would have made her more important is if she took over after Sunny lost two rounds of the dance game.

Wasn't too much of a fan of Pipp either seeing how, as you said she was complaisant in perpetuating the lie, even if it was ultimately didn't change much about the pegasis reality, but on the other hand it was what kept them in power for so long and pretty much shows the folly of the circular logic monarchs have used over the centuries to legitimize their authority to rule over their subjects through old beliefs and ritual or divine rights or any other systems that were used. I see Pipp as being part of the problem, but on the other hand she did break the news that there were was a Earth Pony and unicorn in Zephyr Hight's who knows what Queen Haven would have done to them if the secret of their capture never got out.

With regards to Pipp, much like her sister Zipp, her main goal would be to salvage her and her family's reputation along with her potential singing career. Unfortunately for Pipp, it will take quite some time to get her reputation back up close to where it once was, and with the reintroduction of magic into G5 Equestria, her efforts will likely be further compounded as the rest of the Pegasai begin to explore the limits of their newfound abilities. Furthermore, in the later seasons, it's possible that Pipp will start to realize that fame and popularity are not as enticing as they once seemed when compared to enjoying life with her new friends (instead of her "loyal followers"). On a positive note, Pipp will likely begin to realize how she can use her online influence to encourage other ponies to trust each other more, as well as to focus more on helping others (when needed) with their respective and unique skills and abilities.

I think that one of the things that defines Pipp, and something that could push her character forward, is actually a reflection of what defined Zipp: her being a royal Princess. But instead of Zipp, who as the firstborn will inherit the throne, Pipp is the second Princess. Number two. The spare to the heir. The parallels between Pipp and Luna are obvious, but therein also lies the difference: instead of sinking into obscurity and depression, Pipp put everything she was into becoming Zephyr Height's greatest social media idol, so that she in her way could become somepony special, and reach a place of importance in the hearts of her people that she will never get by virtue of the crown that will inevitably fall to Zipp. This could serve as great fuel for the conflict between Pipp and Zipp, because where Zipp doesn't care one iota for the crown she never had to work for, for Pipp who had to work for every scrap of fame she had, the idea of simply throwing it to the side is unimaginable.

It's surprising that she was willing to go with the others all the way, seeing as she wasn't as open minded to other pony races as Zipp was. While her flying talent was false at the time, I'm sure some of the pegasi population would continue to enjoy her true talents of song and memes. Funny you should mention that. Equestria Daily just posted a new batch of concept art images that includes a "weather machine" from Zephyr Heights. There's even a diagram explaining how it works. But it got cut from the movie, so it's not canon for now. It's probably from the old version of the plot that got almost completely scrapped. I think the main reason Pipp joined Sunny's quest is simply because, she didn't really have anymore options. Her mother is in prison and she and her sister are wanted fugitives. Joining their groups was kinda her only option, plus they're probably the only ponies around that won't turn her in.

I think there will be a better villain than Sprout. Imagine this: An Earth Pony who proclaims herself the General Secretary of the New Equestria by attempting to turn Equestria & it's surrounding nations into an Earth Pony-majority superstate with Unicorns & Pegasi as slaves.

I don't think hasbro is brave or aware enough to handle a topic like that to be honest haha, and if they did I would be a bit worried they wouldn't treat it with the nuance or care it deserves ^^;; It would be great to see more shows handle those sorts of subject matters, but I'd want them to do it well first and foremost.

I can honestly say that pip had little purpose in this movie because the big part of her character development might be in the next movie, because don't y'all thing she would have to apologize for maintaining such a massive lie for such a long stretch of time? at least its what I see when I think of these factors.

Pipp does have a lot of potential for arcs and plots in the future but she ended up being my least favorite character in the movie of the mane 5. Zipp despite being more nebulous had more personality and ended up being my second favourite. I think pipp came off as.....shallow? It's not the best word to describe how I feel but it's the closest I can think of in this moment. I think the directions both zipp and pipp can go on have to wait and see in the show how pegasi as a whole treat the royal family after the movie events. Maybe zipp is right and no one remembers the mess and now they're heroes for helping bring magic and flying back? Who knows. Also looking forward to sister plots of siblings with a more similar age. Almost all of the sister plots in g4 focused on a clearly divided older and younger sister age range. I think pipp will in general be able to shine better as part of a pair in episode plots rather than a solo story. She has good potential to play off of others and I hope to see some more of her inspirational qualities that got hinted at in the dance scene (speaking of which am I the only one bothered that pipp didnt offer to play the dance game for sunny? She's like a professional! I know alphabittle probably wouldnt have allowed it and also plot reasons but still. Offer and get shot down better than no offer at all)

Pipp reminds me of when I first saw Rarity. As in, right now she isn't very interesting. But she has potential, and as time goes by, I think she can grow and develop just like Rarity did. /)

I think Sprout has a potential to become the 6th main character. His color scheme makes him fit right in the group and maybe he'll be Sunny's friend again. Since he's a guy who was once the opposite of Hitch, it would make for interesting interactions with the unicorns and pegasi.

My personal thoughts as a fan of Pipp Petals: I believe the only reason she stuck with that lie was because she felt it necessary, as explained in this video, to keep the hopes of all pegasi up in not having the ability to fly. That being said, because of the upbringing, she was skeptical about regaining said lost ability because it has been gone for several hundreds of years at this point. I don't blame her for being a skeptic, but she DOES go along with it as she's still unsure herself. Her influential nature will surely benefit the team in the longer run and I think, if the writers are diligent enough, will be able to produce episodes that allow Pipp to shine. Also, if the lyrics to Glowin' Up were fully written by Pipp herself, her own message is about getting along with others and being yourself and if no one is wiling to accept you, mix yourself in and show others that we can all get along. In that song, she kinda shows us some ideals Sunny and Argyle are trying to foster in a way. I feel the writers just made her into some royal puppet on the outside, but she seems to be a free-thinker if she separates from the limelight into her own space. After some time outside the castle, she does seem to adapt and genuinely care for her companions. Zipp had her doubts about the way things were because of the hidden station and thought on her own to challenge the status quo. I doubt Pipp was shown this room based on her actions or she may have also thought as Zipp did. Overall, I'm looking forward to more of Pipp since she (and her sister) didn't get a whole lot of screen time and hardly any time to develop as a character.

I think Pipp just acted the way she acted at the beginning because she was emotionally overwhelmed considering how Zipp handled the situation. Zipp seemed to just ignore Her and how Pipp stopped acting mean only sometime after hating them. I just think Pipp was being immature and wanted to lash out at someone to express her emotions.
