It's made me think of prisoners differently (well, the ones that show remorse and want to warn others) and it makes me feel really grateful for my freedom. The massive sentence for mother and daughter (2 people were murdered thus 2 consecutive life sentences of x15 years) are absolutely spot on. The father/husband now knows of his wife’s affair, wife and daughter incarcerated for 30+ years and worst of all 2 young men have lost their lives. I've just put this on so haven't heard what you said yet but my thoughts when I saw this story was that the sentences were extremely severe. The lad was blackmailing them for starters. Which gives extenuating circumstances. They didn't set out to murder them I don't think. There was a message about giving them a beating. Their minimum terms are over 30 years. Most honour killing committed in this country, where the perpetrators actually set out to kill the victims, only have minimum sentences of around 20 years. It seems to me that these women have been dealt with much more severely just by the fact they are women or something. It stinks in my eyes. I'm not condoning what they did. And I think the sentences would be ok if other perpetrator's were given as severe sentences but something seems off about this to me. Seems that Asian men can kill Asian women with more impunity than Asian women can kill Asian men.

These murders, although tragic, were not premeditated like the vast majority of honour killings. So much wrong in this case… 40 odd year old woman having a sexual affair with a 17 year old. He was in love with her and was so immature he thought bribing her would make her reconsider being with him. Also if my mum needed help and was being threatened with revenge porn I’d definitely support her….. by going to the police and getting him charged! The mum in this holds the most culpability! RIP to those lads… so sad!

There was no blackmail involved !!! They didn't prove any threatening txt messages or WhatsApp messages . It was story that was made up !!!. The lad wanted the money he had spent on his milf . He actually made a list an breakdown for all he had spent on her .. ie hotels and gifts . 3000 pound is not much of a blackmail is it ????. Mahek spun that story !!!!. They chased the car and then rammed it off the road to make it look like an accident but they didn't know the lad had phoned the police !!!!.

I like you Shaun and people like Fran because during my young hood I was simply lucky as nothing too bad happened to me. I lost a job and suiffered but I was never deprived of my freedom. So I just think I was lucky. I have been married for over 20 years and have 3 teenage boys and I “turned” my life around because I got scared about the bad things were happening to me and I stopped in time. So I don’t like judging people on the basis of how socially acceptable their lives seem. Sometimes we pay such a heavy price for silly mistakes so it is part of life. But these evil people who end up having a nearly easy life in jail is baffling. That might have a sad story to tell but I know many people who had a difficult life they did’n’t all end up killing babies or neglecting their kids … so they must take their responsibility to be taken seriously about being regretful. This last case didn’t even turn up to face the music at sentencing… no regret there…

A lot of the present laws were brought out during Victorian era I've been told in the past. When child abuse was unheard of and kept behind closed doors, the laws need reforming that's what needs to be brought to the powers that be. Unlike Lucy, Mehek and Ansreen will have it much easier. A majority of the inmates they’ll be with will probably be majority white. Put it bluntly they aren’t going to give a shit about murders or essentially a culture that isn’t theirs to begin with. Also I need to iterate this because it’s important to understand, it is NOT an *Islamic* thing, it is a *Pakistani* thing. Not every Muslim is automatically south Asian, you have muslims from all walks of life for example, Muslims in Japan and East Asian countries. They may be Muslims but at the end of the day they have their own unique culture.

The maximum sentence a judge can give for these crimes against the vulnerable, needs putting ahead of crimes caused by poverty iny eyes , drugs offences are due to self medicating a bad situation usually or due to poverty one way or other same as non payment of fine they shouldn't be inside , In my eyes. Although the sentences are high as 2 people have lost their lives and extremely serious, this case is bizarre in many ways. It seems that it was not real and fictitious but of course it is not. This seems to set out a message that people cannot do what they want and try to get away with it. The mother was being blackmailed and most people would relate to that and it is sort of natural to protect your mum too, but to set out and try to sort it out in this manner is not right, what were they thinking I cannot comprehend. The outcome has been a disaster for all of them, what a totall waste of precious lives.

This was an unbelievable set of circumstances. The daughter clearly had an inflated ego and thought she could click her fingers and people will do her bidding. They were daft to listen to her. All she did was wiggle in front of a camera pulling stupid expressions and wearing layers of makeup. A proper job would have been better. The one thing that is not mentioned is the motive for the blachmail the young lad wanted to call the affair off but the woman did not take rejection well and as a result off that started to harrass the young lad through threatning calls and messaging, and thats what drove him to blackmail. He was trying to do the sensible thing and call it off.

Gossip and hearsay convicted Lucy on Social Media, I think she was gaslit by four doctors who provided complex medical care to the babies and blamed Lucy possibly for their failings. One who is never off television was asked during the trial about why he never took serious or documented the rashes on the tiny babies and he excused the insertion of drains etc moving around when blood was found, on a natural occurrence with such a procedure.

When she dumped him he wanted the money back that he had spent on her !!!!. The threats are what has been made up by the mother and daughter . He had told his sister he was getting his money back and she had told him to let it go !!!. There was no blackmail involved !!! The mother had agreed to reimburse the lad for the 3,000 . The lads went to collect the money !!!. Thats when shit hit the fan .
