What's Next If You are laid off on OPT, H1B, OPT STEM

I see many people going back to India. The remote job option has shown more and more managers that a plethora of jobs can be outsourced to India. AI is bifurcating the labor market into have AI skills and have not AI skills. I think most H1B people should have a backup Plan B for this as India is now entering an economic boom phase as its per capita income approaches middle income levels.

My ex-company did that, their entire technical team was outsourced to India. The only way you would be able to work for the foreign branch is if you had a visa status already such as being a citizen or a PR, The CEO said it was pointless to sponsor visas as the work could be done for a cheaper price out of India without visa hassles.

@@shaivamuthaiya2015 For a company to prove that they could not find a US citizen or permanent resident to do a job is tough in the current labor market. Only exceptions may be some PhD’s in esoteric areas like cybersecurity and deep learning or computer vision or language models

What if I have taken the step to come back to India on H1B? But the H1B is not stamped. How can I go back? (Recruiters with C2C & W2s are not proceeding ahead with my profile now, because they feel there is a risk). Should I keep trying to come back on H1B or are there any other options?

Hey Yudi, I missed the live session. I have applied the H1B this year 2025 but didn't get my name in the lottery. So, I'm planning for F1 visa through MEM course. If there will be a second lottery in July by any chance and my name got picked up then will there be a problem if I already have F1 visa?
