What's Next? Predictions for the Mario Movie Sequel

I heard that originally, the final battle scene was supposed to have Van Halen's "Jump" as the song. Brian Tyler had to fight to use the superstar theme. And I am most grateful for it. Also, I really need a Luigi's Mansion movie. I need it now. Oh, and I did do my own review of the Mario Movie, but it's an hour long if anybody wants to see XD

I mean Jump is a great song, it would be awesome if we got it in the sequel as the opening number or the start of the credits.

I laughed quite a bit watching this video, you did a great job. Anyway, my hope is that we get either Super Mario Land or Super Mario World as the basis for the sequel. We definitely need to have Daisy show up, but also give Yoshi important things to do as well (he better not end up like Tails in Sonic 2, where he’s just there and helps somewhat but the other characters get more focus than him). Galaxy definitely deserves a movie, but it should be saved for the third movie due to Galaxy’s grand scale and emotional atmosphere. It wouldn’t be right if it was the focus of 2 because anything after that would be a downgrade by comparison. Also I doubt we’ll get Wario and Waluigi unless they make the movies longer. They’d have to have some sort of b plot, and if they use the same pacing we just got there wouldn’t be any time for that. We definitely need movies for Luigi’s Mansion and Donkey Kong at some point too, but it would probably be best if we get the direct sequel before any spin-offs.

I feel like the it'll be a reverse yoshi's island. The bros find a lost baby yoshi and go on an adventure to bring it home, like OG yoshi for them in the games.

Lovely vid I don't really recommend holding a grudge against the directors because while they had a huge part on Teen Titans Go Keep in mind, this was basically CN and Warner Bros. Not exactly super high budget stuff. And WB kinda wanted to appeal to the demographic that comedy shows like Regular Show appealed too. It was really a matter of the unfortunate character choice of the Titans.

I'm sure Yoshi and more characters needs to be in the movie's sequel, for increasing the roster of plots and lore.

I have to say I think that Yoshi will definitely be in the sequel I think Yoshi's Island can definitely have its own movie franchise. If anything I think you know the first movie was supposed to establish the movie world of Mario I think you know maybe it could be a quest to help you know peach find you know where she came from and we could let go to toadstool Cafe and really dig into the mushroom Kingdom and get to know some of the residents a little more and that could be a full 2-hour movie of trying to figure out where peach came from and maybe there is a new enemy maybe like a evil hat from crazy cap but then again super Mario Odyssey could be a movie as well so there's a lot of different things that could happen so. I want to see some Mario machinimas in the movie You know what I mean could be cool to see a black Mario could be cool to see a Asian Mario just a diversity of Mario I think would be cool but like I said these are just my thoughts I'm not in the rooms but this Nintendo cinematic universe is nothing but limitless

There is a popular theory that Rosalina is the daughter of Luigi and Princess Peach although it has never been confirmed. Maybe if the sequel is a Mario Galaxy movie then it could explain that instead of being Peaches daughter Rosalina is her mother and that she gave Peach to the mushroom kingdom to protect her from a villain who was threatening her like possibly Kamek. It could explain that the reason why Rosalina appears so young despite being her mother is that she is immortal meaning that she doesn’t age. It could still be a part of the story by explaining that Rosalina upon hearing of Peach defeating Bowser attempts to reunite with her but then Bowser attempts to counquer the galaxy and then Mario and Luigi and Peach have to stop him with the help of Rosalina and then Rosalina reveals Peaches origins thus additionally motivating Peach to defeat Bowser to help her mother. As for who her father is it doesn’t have to explain all about him such as his name but it could explain that he was a good person and a loving father who was killed by Kamek and that he died protecting Peach.

I hope we get Wario, Waluigi, and Daisy in the sequel. The story should be about them kidnapping Daisy. Rosalina should be in the threequel.

I agree with you. I think they should save Pauline for a sequel have a bigger she should have a bigger role, then just dumb to seconds. Hopefully she does in the sequel know if we donkey, Kong kidnapps her

I hope we get to see Candy Kong, since she currently has only like 5 minutes of screentime ever unless you count her horribly bratty performance in the DKC Cartoon.

I absolutely loved this movie so much it was truly one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my entire life! Mario Will always be my favorite character and have a special place in my heart I just love Mario so much 😊🥰❤️! My favorite parts were Mario and Luigi’s relationship and bowser’s song however I thought the movie was too short and i couldn’t stand Dk in the movie omg he got on my nerves 😟 he kept being rude to Mario even after Mario saved his life twice!!!!!! Anyways the movie gets a 9.8/10
