They literally just added a dlc with a new area, mounts, cross play, new weapon, new raid, many fixes, subtle content improvements, environment improvements. Like bro; are we even playing the same game? They haven’t stopped adding and improving one bit and yet people still complaining like launch week. @@almightyurf3236 I think it all really depends on how much money they're making. If you want to see more content updates, buy the battle pass. They've been bleeding money into New World since they're big boom at launch. It's just like any MMO. If they're making money, they'll keep supporting it. The last couple years development time went into giving the game a fresh breath of air and a second chance. If people actually spend money and keep playing, it will be supported. It seems like the have a good foundation to build on now. I'm fully expecting bugs because it is still AGS, but there is enough content to keep me occupied for at least 1000 hours which is well worth the price tag. For a game without a subscription, there's a ton of content here, and it's not p2w. A real slam dunk.

Same here with T&L I enjoyed that game, but the way they handled the PVP with the day and night cycle and the overworld activities where sometimes you have to wait for a non-PVP one was kind of offputting. I like the way New World is structured much better.

Its just sped up osrs with built in disappointment because bots are farming a lot of the iron and star metal, which you need always. Even at the very endgame you still need iron.

And as for the controversy, it just seems the people want the same type of endgame content and expansions WoW got apparently. And I agree with them! It’s just hard to keep up with a game that’s been out for decades. New World has a long ways to go to keep hard-core MMO players happy it’s not enough endgame content to keep most of those players. I believe New World can get there if they stick with it for sure and I’m having an absolute blast myself, but I am definitely not in the hard-core MMO player pool. That said in my opinion, this is the perfect MMO for the casual MMO player that likes a bit of group content once in a while and just enjoy being in the world leveling trade skilling trading all that good stuff. It’s absolutely perfect for that and I think this game will thrive on console but I don’t believe that’s what most veteran MMO players want. It’s hard to please everybody lol

I have almost 600 hours in this game. I came back a few days ago and I'm enjoying it for sure. Having a good time. One thing I will say is the Server Connection issues are wild. They need to fix that shit. Game isn't exactly optimized as well....need to fix that too. Overall though, great game. Finally pulled the trigger on Angry Earth. 30 Dollars for a mount is 100% worth it.

new player here coming from eso on ps5. enjoying it a lot aside from 2 recurring issues. I got put in a queue a couple of times when logging in waited around 10 mins to get in. 2nd issue is i keep getting kicked from the game when fast travelling. Maybe the queuing is to be expected during busy periods. Hopefully the crashing issue can get sorted soon. Aside from that im liking it a lot.

Your review is spot on. I've played it off an on since launch. The crafting/gathering system always brought me back. I'm a long time WoW and MMO player that was looking for something else. New World is fantastic its a polished game and I'm having the most fun I've ever had in it. Before I never was able to get a character to max level as I would get bored. This has been my problem with games in general. Now like you said their is so much to do I'm still working on the main quest but did reach max level I worked on professions while leveling and got experience that way I'm also a completionist so I have to do every quest in a territory. Its a grind to get even the gathering skills to max about to hit 200 in harvesting and mining. This game has something for everyone. Its worth playing.

I started a new character for the relaunch, almost 3k hours on my main character, and man they made leveling and questing so much better. Love the soul trials. The grind on my main character was so long I told myself I'd never do another character. I hit level 60 on my fresh character in a week of casual gaming, never once having to farm town boards. They did a great job, and I find myself hooked again.

I played during the original launch but never made it passed the mid-40s. Started back up on this launch and absolutely hooked on it. Leveling is so much better(less grindy) now, hit 65 and having fun running expeditions, finishing MSQ, etc.

I have played just about every MMO worth playing since ~2006. After WOW, mmos have burnt out so quickly for me, however, New World has rekindled that love for these types of games. I am currently almost max level, and I have had a blast the entire time. Lots of endgame content and activities to keep us busy. The world is great. Edengrove is one of the most beautiful regions I’ve experienced in a game world. All of it is so cool!

I got to lvl 500 in eso but just cause I play with a friend who is lvl 2000.. but we both switched to this game, the combat/graphics/parkour are what make me like new world so much more than eso. And I just find the grind less boring in this game, but maybe it cause I just started and it something new but besides that the game just feels better overall and I’m having lots of fun

It's great for new players not players that are 65 end game content, as getting 725gs is locked behind a 10 man raid and you can get random 725 in a chest from the coins from the pvp area, but that is a once a week thing, the only way to craft 725 is getting it from the new raid good luck when you get to the end game

Zelda's story was good because e.g. the quest NPC's had a place in the world where zhey lived and appeared there after you did the quest imagine all those NPCs would appear somewhere on the map again in a hut or in the city afterwards and have a follow up or smthing. Also you do not have to read or listen to the dialogue anymore to succeed, so that engaging aspect is also just thrown out of the window, but thats with every game since like 15-20 years

I have roughly 800 hours in the game. Stepped back from the game about 2-3 months ago. Right now the game is in its best state since first launch. But, the team needs to keep it up. If they don't add new content / things to grind / rewards .. It will slowly die again. Now its their time to not mess it up. Hopefully we can enjoy this game for as much time as others enjoyed WoW.

Well put, after 20 years of WoW with breaks and restarts i just bought this game last week out of curiosity because the footage on KZbin looked very good. I did not regret buying the game yet! I feel almost guilty not logging on to WoW hahaha. Still i hope the game gets some better upgrades like shared loot for chars you create or a mail system and skipping mount quests for the chars once you unlocked it. Also the “fighting” over resources is frustrating some times, in WoW they fixed that so all can harvest the materials you need. That would also make a better economy balance in game. Just farm the stuff you need to craft the items you want for your class without having to much focus on farming scares materials because some high lvl players just took it from you right when you are about to farm the material because they already have a mount or can farm much quicker. There are some realy greedy players out there sadly. Anyway, thanks for the content. I will continue to lvl my soldier, I’m enjoying shield and flail with a big hammer as my secondary to smash everything :) Gr from the Netherlands

Playing on console right now and I'm enjoying it. Don't see myself playing for long though because once I maxed everything which I'm taking the longest way possible by not ignoring anything, I'm done with the game. PVP centric games are just not anything that interests me mainly because I like playing a tank. Same thing with TnL where I've done all content and done with the game and was honestly a fun month I've had with that game too. Playing a tank in a PVP game is kinda boring because sure no one can kill me but I can't kill anyone too so I'm just frontlining spamming self buff/healing moves and that's my PVP experience. It's just like asking myself what am I gearing up for or preparing for and if it's stronger world bosses or in this game, PVP, I'm not the player it caters to. If I want PVP I boot up Tekken 8 or Street Fighter 6 and that's my kind of PVP. Still I estimate to have 100-200 hours minimum play time in this game and that's awesome. Don't like the idea of legacy PC players spamming dead game in global chat where they've played hundreds even maybe over a thousand hours into and trying to dissuade others from enjoying their first run through the game.

I want to be clear I enjoyed this video and you have a lot of great points. With this said I’m not sure how you can have the perspective of a “casual player” when you have been putting out videos for 3+ years. This game has actually lacked in PVP since the original launch in every way and that trend continues even now. The PVP players and TBH PC players have been completely ignored in every way. I just play with a buddy of mine or solo and I couldn't care less to try finding 5 or 6 others to be able to do the end game content. The combat feels good...if you have sub 60 ping. All my friends are east while im west and nw servers are quite literally the worst when it comes to ping, so i have 120 ping and i have to dodge before animations start or i just get hit. Oh also attack speed is tied to ping, so my friends by 10 seconds are 3 full combos ahead of me with sword and sheild. Games fun but its shit.

This game is not worth playing, if you have Family, and a lot of LIFE responsibilities. The Grind is Ridiculous if you try to max everything. If you want to play the game , Don't Force your self to Grind. Only do the Main quest, do the lvl 60+ Dungeons and the 10 man RAID BOSSES, there are also world raid bosses. This is the casual average game player advice. if you can spend 40+ hours grinding for Material its not worth it. Game overall opinion 6/10 , if the grinding was not so harsh , could of been 8/10 the End gear game is easy to obtain at lvl 60+.

@@dschott If you grind this game, it will take you around 50-100 hours to grind for material. Or you can play NORMAL and beat the game in 12-24 hours, just doing the Main Quest and the last dungeons/raids. Do not do side quests that's part of the grind. Only side quest you need to do is at lvl 17 pick color faction. at lvl 20 get your mount. than continue with your Main Quest.

Probably will never return to New World again unless they do some discounts for the expansion and base game. I couldn't convince my old friends to hop on the game again to play together though we had good time in OPR and faction conflict PVP nights. Played 1.1k hours since the launch day, stopped around when mutation expedition giving red stones was the only way to upgrade gear score from 600 to 625.
