first heard bladee on tumblr in 2014... and this was after not getting what was so attractive about yung lean's appeal during 2013... i heard oreo milkshake, hurt, greygoose and i understood the sound but it didnt really click for me until Bladee.. at first i couldn't tell bladee and yung lean apart because of the insane echo autotune incomprehensible vocals. but it was gluee that really hit hard for me... damn it was like some futuristic emo melodies that only the saddest of boys (and girls) could relate to. then i was stuck to his soundcloud singles and features for years... lots of underrated hits like 7 roses and friday with black kray, made of glass w/ thaiboy, psycho with adamm killa, kiss of death with uli k... you get the point. many people forget his soundcloud hits. if i had to choose my top 3 songs of his i would go for the early songs that got me forever hooked: 1. Into Dust, 2. Rain Check, and 3. Reborn. a 4th would be Suburu or Unreal. also shoutout to his weird songs like insect. a side note, my first impressions of his style was witch house vaporwave shoegaze trap punk. and nowadays his style is closer to hyper fairy pop.

My explanation to why I enjoy his music is that: Bladee makes music that you have to learn how to enjoy. Good video man! And even though it's hard to explain that why his music sounds good, you made a pretty good job! His music just scratches some weird point in my musical taste that I cannot fully explain. Bladee, Lean and all their friends are all on their own lane. And goddamn their music is addicting. Also shoutout to Ripsquadd, if that producer-tag is at the beginning of the track, it's going to be a banger! Also everyone who likes Bladee's music knows the "click" when your brain goes from "what the hell is this" to "hell yeah, this is amazing". 😂 I discovered Bladee's music by accident in late 2019, and it's pretty much all I've been listening the whole year.

Bladee is such a versatile artist. Listen to “Trash Island”, “Icedancer”, and “Good Luck”: it’s like three different artists rolled into one, but they all still hold the same identity. He has his own identifiable sound that he utilizes in different forms, and they’re all really fun to listen to and explore. It does take a bit to get used to, and chances are if you’re a majority mainstream hip-hop listener you won’t appreciate it at first, but if you stick with it you’ll definitely see the appeal.

Yeah, I remember when I found bladee back in 2015. At first I was just fascinated because it was so goofy, but the more I let that fascination guide me, the more it started to sink in. Now he's my favorite artist ever. I love that dude. It's hard to put into words what it is about his music, but it just hits a nerve. It's magic. Part of it is of course the producers, like whitearmor, woesum, gud etc, but it's bladees vocals and the world he paints through his lyrics that makes it perfect.

I first heard Bladee in 2017 bc I was listening to some Yung Lean's song where he got featured on. I was like "he's just ok, anything bad or awesome, but I prefer Lean". Then in 2020 when I became a huge fan of Lean I joined a fanbase group on FB. Someone posted "It suxx" so I gave it a listen and holyyyy shit... I've been totally in love with Bladee's music eversince - he's my favorite artist now and I listen to him everyday. Getting into Bladee takes time, but when you really do, it becomes out of this world, almost like a spiritual thing. Best music I've ever heard and I've always needed. Thank you Ben for changing my life.
