I genuinely can't believe this channel has got such few subs. It's like KZbin hates him or something!

It's wild how the jump from GTA2 to GTA3 went. I am in no way a fan or player of GTA3 as I just can't get in to games with such violence but I can still recognize that it's a great and original game. There are so many aspects to it that have helped to drive the evolution of gaming we're enjoying today. GTA3 is an example of how cool and unique RPGs can be and, heck, all games can be.

GTA 3 was my favourite of the 3-D GTA games. It was the only one that kept alive the humorous reckless violence of the previous ones. (As did, to a lesser extent Vice City) but after that the games just got too serious. Though I did like that the sequels added more detail to the world to explore and discover... I would rather they focused more on that and kept the tone of GTA 3. I also liked that the PC never talks, gives a more immersive feeling of me being the guy if you get me.

I recently finished the definitive edition with 100% completion. Although the remaster has its issues, with the weather and atmosphere being the most prominent in my opinion, I love that it's basically the same game as before. I wouldn't have liked to see a remake with more 'modern' gameplay in aspects like car physics. This was a proper nostalgia trip with some quality of life improvements like camera controls. Just don't buy it full price, it should've had more work into it to justify that.

The only "Grand Theft Auto game" I've played wasn't even a Grand Theft Auto game, it was The Simpsons: Hit & Run. That said, I loved playing that game, and the fact that this game spawned so many clones and imitators has to say something about the core appeal of that game's gameplay.

What do you think about the remaster ?

I haven't had a chance to play it, but from the footage I've seen it looks like a reliable way of experiencing a game that would otherwise be tricky to hook up to modern TVs and whatnot. The lighting and water looks great, and I think the cartoonish/heavily stylized reskin throws off anyone that was expecting it to look like GTA V, but it's about as good as this chunky 2001 game could look these days without being completely rebuilt and reanimated.
